A deeper look into the ‘Summer Magic 1985’ boxed set 🌈 Arriving on September 18th, this new 20CD boxed set is filled with spellbinding moments from the Dead’s ‘Twenty Years So Far’ tour, celebrating the magical and spiritual fusion of communal energy, musical improvisation, and psychedelic style, and the... transformative ‘concert alchemy’ of that summer. All performances were recorded by the band’s longtime sound engineer Dan Healy and mastered by GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer David Glasser at Airshow Mastering. Multidisciplinary artist Marcos Alvarado, known for incorporating alchemical symbolism in his surreal figurative drawings, introduces an array of new characters through striking original artwork that draws inspiration from classic alchemical illuminations. The 96-page book included in the set features new essays by Nicholas G. Meriwether and David Lemieux, photos, and more original artwork from Alvarado, with clever design and bonus items adding a sense of continued transformation and discovery that honors the Grateful Dead’s enduring legacy. ‘Summer Magic 1985’ is available to pre-order now exclusively onshow more

Today, Stern Pinball, Inc., revealed Metallica Remastered – a technologically advanced version of one of Stern Pinball’s greatest hits. Metallica Pinball was originally released in 2013 and is one of the most successful and beloved pinball games ever. Metallica Remastered has elevated the game to the modern era with gameplay, electronics, and presentation improvements. Metallica Remastered pinball games are available now in Premium and Limited Edition (LE) models, along with a full line of accessories available at launch. Metallica Remastered is updated with a full-color LCD display featuring all-new animations and live concert video footage. Stern’s modern Spike 2 electronics will power the gameplay experience. Fans will enjoy expanded gameplay and improved presentation with 22 songs (8 more than the original) and expanded gameplay rules. Cabinet improvements include an Expression Lighting system and 2 all-new art packages by Metallica artist Rhys Cooper. Players will experience the same great flow from the original Metallica playfield layout with geometry and mechanical improvements, new versions of gameplay toys, updated mechanical devices, and new UV lighting effects. Since forming in 1981, Metallica has become one of the most influential and popular bands in musical history. Through their groundbreaking music, electrifying live performances, and a cultural impact that has extended beyond music, Metallica has garnered a massive global following of dedicated fans. Their critical acclaim and influence match the Hall of Fame band’s commercial success in the world of rock music and pinball. Stern Pinball has ensured that extra care and attention to detail has gone into every facet of Metallica Remastered while respecting the timeless classic game created by pinball legends John Borg and Lyman F. Sheats, Jr. The design team, led again by John Borg and software engineer Raymond Davidson, has created a modern version of the original masterpiece. John Borg’s classic playfield architecture has been enhanced with three all-new sculptures: Sparky, the Hammer, new RGB-illuminated Skulls, and a new Metallica logo spell-out on the back panel. Dramatic UV lighting effects have been implemented throughout the playfield and on Sparky, and the game includes numerous quality and durability refinements. The iconic Lyman Sheats rule set has been carefully enhanced to add two new game modes based on Metallica’s two most recent albums, last year’s Grammy-winning 72 Seasons and 2016’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, as well as a new “Blackened” Wizard Mode. The Metallica Remastered software also includes numerous refinements throughout and an enhanced illuminated insert array to support the new game rules while preserving the classic gameplay feel from the original. Metallica Remastered features an entirely new suite of presentation elements, including all video content and animations, new sound effects, and over 1,000 new speech calls that include callouts by the band. Eight new Metallica songs have been seamlessly integrated into the game and include new supporting animations, movies, and HD-quality live concert footage selected by the band. The Expression Lighting system for the cabinet and speakers comes standard with the Limited Edition version and is available as an accessory upgrade for Premium models.

George Michael was a notorious control freak. When it came to the Faith album this attention to detail extended from arranging, composing and performing the music, to styling, graphic design and even drawing the album artwork himself. Incidentally, there are two religious symbols on the front of the album, perhaps alluding to his complex heritage: the Christian cross and the Star of David. My new book, Tonight the Music Seems So Loud: the Meaning of George Michael is published in the summer and tickets are now available for launch events Intelligence Squared Union Chapel London and Hay Festival. #GeorgeMichael #Wham #FAITH #TTMSSL

🚨 JUST IN - DAVID HOCH, from Nick Shirley's fraud video: "Keith Ellison, he's not from Minnesota. He's from Detroit. Jacob Frey is not from Minnesota. He's from Virginia. The police chief of Minneapolis is not from Minnesota. He's from New Jersey. His wife's a Muslim cop in New Jersey." "The mayor of St. Paul is not from Minnesota. And so it plays into this whole contention that I've made that this fraud framework was set up by the Democrats." "And what I believe they tried to do is when the Hmong population was brought into Minnesota in the late 70s and early 80s, there was a huge influx of the Hmong." "And I think the Democrats thought the Hmong were going to fit the playbook for committing all this fraud. And they didn't. The Hmong said they were honorable people. They're not going to be involved in this. And so they had to find another group." "And so they got the Somalis and they fit right in to this framework of fraud. And then they just ran with it!"

A superlative slasher hailing from the golden age of the slice-and-dice boom, 1981’s NIGHT SCHOOL was the final film from celebrated English director Ken Hughes, and the feature debut of Golden Globe-nominated actress Rachel Ward. Boasting cinematography from David Cronenberg regular Mark Irwin and a score by Brad Fiedel, NIGHT SCHOOL was branded a “video nasty” in the UK and censored due to its scenes of shocking violence. Now newly restored in 4K from its original camera negative and loaded with brand new bonus features, Vinegar Syndrome is thrilled to unveil this slasher classic (complete with a giallo adjacent motorcyclist villain) on UHD for the first time ever in an edition that goes straight to the top of the class! 🏍️ Order link in comments 🏍️

Xara Arts has been in development for over a year. Our Discord community has existed for more than a year as well, long before Xara was introduced to the public. Recently, we discovered that some of the original Xara artworks had been shared by the artist on X and other platforms prior to the official reveal. For the sake of clarity and transparency, we’ve made the decision to completely abandon those artworks, despite the collection and metadata already being fully prepared. We’ll be moving forward with a new set of artwork in a similar style, created by the same artist. We understand that Xara will be a Free Mint, but that does not change our commitment to delivering the highest-quality and most beautiful art experience possible. From time to time, we’ll share proof of our progress so the community can follow the journey and better understand the work and effort going into Xara. Thank you for your patience, your support, and for believing in Xara.

[TRANS] 240921 IU on Her New Unreleased Song ‘Bye Summer’ 👋☀️ 아이유(IU): All the cities that I’ve been to except Seoul and Yokohama were so hot, so as I was holding the world tour, summer somehow felt super long to me. I really dislike summer, but this was the best summer I’ve had. And I think that summer will end here today. When I wrote the new song, I didn’t expect or mean to perform it in such chilly weather like today. But it just happened that today is the last day of summer. The song is titled “Bye Summer” and it’s about sending off my extremely long yet passionately beloved summer along with my tour. It’s composed by Seo Dong-hwan, who also composed the song “Love wins all” which was well-loved by many this year. And I wrote the lyrics of Bye Summer. For the first time in my life, I performed this song in front of you all so I’m thrilled. I actually have no plans to release this song because Dong-hwan and I made this solely for THE WINNING (encore) concert. It’s a song that might disappear after I let you guys and tomorrow show’s audience hear it. Translated by IUteamstarcandy Video by iuedelweiss #IU #HEREH_ENCORE

🎙️ Blaine Mueller: "This is an organization that literally hadn't won anything, including a division title, before the Summer League championship last year. Our group parlayed that at the NBA level with getting in the play-in and competing for a playoff spot, and then our G League team winning a championship... winning begets winning." "The tone and energy probably have more to do with Liam (McNeeley), Sion (James), and Tidjane (Salaun) to a certain extent. Those were guys that only got to play a couple of games and then unfortunately dealt with some injuries last summer. Credit to them, they're amazing teammates. And the guys that stepped up, they were right there standing and cheering, and coaching them along the way. But I think they really look at this opportunity as unfinished business for them from the standpoint that they want to see this thing through and be out there on the court all the way through to another championship."
