A defining statement by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri. “It should not be, that while equipment & platforms are made in India, the components are imported & all we do in the name of indigenisation is mere assembly. We are watchful of this, & will not allow this “ghaplebaazi” anymore.” 1/2

Hon’ble RM at #UPGIS2023 - “India wants its Defence equipment to be indigenous, its manufacturing to be indigenous and its components also to be indigenous.” #AatmaNirbharBharat @upeidaofficial @makeinindia @UPGovt @DefenceMinIndia @rajnathsingh 2/2

@rajnathsingh @DefenceMinIndia @InvestInUp @SachinPTC @Smitasatvik @SIDMIndia @DefProdnIndia @ProDefLko @SpokespersonMoD @DefMinIndia Finally addressing the elephant in the room, hope his words are put to action by supporting defence startups and not support companies which do screwdriver giri

@rajnathsingh @DefenceMinIndia @InvestInUp @SachinPTC @Smitasatvik @SIDMIndia @DefProdnIndia @ProDefLko @SpokespersonMoD @DefMinIndia Atleast he has idea what is going on! Need to followup with action and clear the indigenous system awaiting mass order.

@rajnathsingh @DefenceMinIndia @InvestInUp @SachinPTC @Smitasatvik @SIDMIndia @DefProdnIndia @ProDefLko @SpokespersonMoD @DefMinIndia Well said✌🏽, Core Manufacturing is actually the backbone of getting closer to being self reliant. If we keep importing components and assembly here then we will keep depending on imports, like what we saw in shortage of Car chips😜😜

@rajnathsingh @DefenceMinIndia @InvestInUp @SachinPTC @Smitasatvik @SIDMIndia @DefProdnIndia @ProDefLko @SpokespersonMoD @DefMinIndia Only good at giving speeches, let’s follow up with right policies. Bureaucratic red tape and corruption is endemic in India. No high tech ventures are possible.
