I requested him to do a complete investigation on what IndiGo is doing. There is complete mismanagement in the company. The Federation of Pilots of India have also applied, saying that there is injustice to the pilots; that IndiGo is overusing, harassing, exploiting the pilots and that they are hugely understaffed. Close to 200 flights were cancelled in a single day...This is the third day that it has happened. It seems that this company is functioning only for profits...I am appealing to the Ministry and also to the DGCA to do a complete investiagtion on why this is happening. The backlogs that have been there for the last two days have been cleared. #WATCH | Mumbai: On Indigo flight delays, President, Federation of Indian Pilots, Captain CS Randhawa says, "Indigo operates approximately 2,200 flights all over India... Most of these flight disruptions, cancellations, and delays have been attributable to, firstly, the crew shortage... Secondly, they have been inducting aircraft. It must be appreciated that when you induct an aircraft, you must have an adequate number of crews per aircraft... Thirdly, Indigo pilots were flying about 55 to 57 hours. After 1st November, they offered pilots the option to buy back their leave... The crew rostering of the pilots was totally inappropriate. They did not plan the crews correctly... Lastly, after the second phase of the FDTL (Flight Duty Time Limitation), new CARs (Civil Aviation Requirements) came into effect by the order of the Delhi High Court on 1st of November. They immediately approached the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) and sought a variation. We have asked the DGCA how the variation or dispensation was given to Indigo and other airlines, as this CAR had to be implemented... I request the DGCA and the Ministry of Civil Aviation not to grant such dispensations and variations, and to implement the CAR in totality... There are a lot of remedial measures which Indigo has to take..."

Arrogant Behaviour by Passenger at Kolkata Airport In a shocking and absolutely unacceptable incident at Kolkata Airport, an Indigo ground staff member was slapped by a frustrated passenger. The passenger, enraged over flight cancellations caused by an ongoing shortage of cabin crew, chose violence instead of dealing with the situation in a civil and responsible manner.Flight disruptions are undoubtedly frustrating for everyone, but that does not give any individual the right to assault frontline staff who are simply doing their job. These employees have no control over operational challenges, yet they are the ones who face the anger, abuse, and aggression of entitled passengers. Such behaviour reflects a growing problem in public spaces people believing that anger and assault are valid ways to express dissatisfaction. This kind of arrogance not only sets a horrible example but also threatens the safety and dignity of those who work tirelessly to support passengers, even during chaotic situations. Got stuck in the IndiGo mess last night. Our 8 PM flight took off at 6 AM. After 10 long hours. Kids were crying. Old people were waiting. But, there were NO updates. The ground staff tried their best but they got all the hate. And honestly, they didn’t deserve that. IndiGo knew the delays. But instead of helping, they kept everyone waiting. We finally reached home safe… but this should not have happened. IndiGo, do better.
