HOUSTON — A second driver has died after a horrific wrong-way crash that shut down the eastbound lanes of the Katy Freeway for hours overnight. Houston police say a BMW traveling the wrong way slammed head-on into a Tesla Cybertruck near the Washington/Westcott exit just after midnight. Investigators believe the BMW was heading west in the eastbound lanes of I-10 when it hit the Cybertruck, causing the BMW to burst into flames. The impact sent the Cybertruck into a nearby semi. Police say the 38-year-old Cybertruck driver, identified by family as Jamar Champ, died from his injuries. The wrong-way BMW driver also died at the scene. Despite multiple "Do Not Enter" and "Wrong Way" signs posted near the exit, investigators say the BMW's driver likely entered the freeway at that location. "We believe at this time that the BMW was headed westbound in the eastbound lanes going the wrong direction," said HPD Sgt. Rebecca Dallas. Residents say wrong-way drivers are a recurring issue in the area.

Another driver intervenes to protect him. The driver was given a final warning by the company. My sources say they wanted to sack him. Only protests from colleagues & threatening to go on strike, stopped it. Another driver on Boxing Day was smashed in the face getting the bus when in uniform. Officers responded to a call about a Cybertruck sunken off of Katie's Woods Park Boat Ramp at around 8 PM.
