NEWS: Lake Alfred, Florida Fire Department has purchased a Tesla Cybertruck to operate as a brush truck. It’ll be equipped with a 150-gallon water tank to support firefighting. The Cybertruck will save the department $170k vs a traditional gas brush truck (which costs $300k). The Cybertruck will also used as a command vehicle. This will the first Cybertruck brush truck in the United States. The fire chief owns a Tesla himself, which played into the decision to buy the Cybertruck for $131k for the department. (btw, does anybody know if those are shot live or pre-recorded??) During the podcast, Elon and Joe discussed several topics ranging from why Elon decided to purchase Twitter (X), to why the Zuck v. Musk cage match never took place. However, at one point during the interview, Joe challenged Musk to see if his Cybertruck could withstand an arrow shot from a high-powered bow at point blank range. It had most of the blast go up through the truck and out. The front glass doors at the Trump hotel were not even broken by the blast, which they were directly in front of.” The Cybertruck has 1.8mm thick solid steel doors, and a 1.4mm thick steel body, which is twice as thick as normal car sheet metal.
