The Government says waiting lists are falling. But the reality behind the numbers tells a very different story. In March alone, 351,000 patients were removed from NHS waiting lists without treatment. Almost the entire drop came from people being deleted off lists. At the same time, A&E delays remain near record highs, GP numbers are barely shifting, and frontline staff are still under immense pressure. This is moving people off paper, not helping them into treatment. It also still requires public spending to remove people from waiting lists, meaning Labour are spending millions in pursuit of fake headlines rather than properly treating patients.
