Epic City (East Plano Islamic Center), the Center already has 74 existing homes right next to a massive mosque. 1,000 homes planned mixed use development. The big fear people have is that it’s actually an exclusionary zone out in an unincorporated area of Plano. A reflection of the exist Center. It would use shariah law. Any reasonable person would deduce this fact because the Center has an office devoted to Shariah finance. The UIF corporation exists that has an office at the current East Plano Islamic Center. The past President is the co-founder of the Yaken Institute for Islamic research. That organization is very very serious about making sure that shariah has a seat at the table when it comes to reimagining Islam in the west. Fears are certainly founded.
