If there is just one thing India can do fast to improve quality of life- its footpaths. Not Multi crore flyovers, not 8 lane highways, just a simple 10 feet wide footpath everywhere. This is such a low hanging fruit, why can’t we do this. (Let’s figure out problem of encroachments later). Dear Krishna Byre Gowda Sir, Please change the messaging of your communication. The free footpath campaign is not against street vendors but 'encroachers'. This is not rich Vs poor. This is for every common man & family using footpaths on a daily basis. Please act against every institution that is encroaching the footpaths. Private builders are the biggest nuisance. They don't just occupy footpaths but their construction materials overflow from the footpaths onto the road. This is 17th Main Road in HSR. I hope we will see some action here too Bengaluru South City Corporation ಬೆಂ.ದ.ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ

Section 50, subsection 7 Part C and D of the public management act is why we are paying illegal debts which were used to service the lavish lifestyles of a few individuals. What does not come through the Consolidated Fund is illegal and Kenyans cannot pay. Why are we paying debts we never saw? Debts we never benefited from? This is the condition of illegal hawkers occupying the entire footpath, even spilling onto the road. Why does a common citizen have to record such videos and put them on social media? Why??? What is the Encroachment Department of T-Ward doing? Why is there no permanent solution? Why are FIRs not being filed against these illegal hawkers? We request T-Ward Officer Yogita Madam to take strict action and implement a permanent solution at the earliest. We also want to highlight a serious issue — the safety of whistleblowers like Nirmal Thakkar and others. These people are targeted and threatened simply for raising their voice against illegal encroachments. The police must provide protection to such citizens who work for the betterment of society.
