Every song release is a big deal. This song has waited a long time to have its moment. I remember when Sara, Sam and I wrote Fragile (the same day we wrote another song called Madness), it held a special place in my soul as a human. So much so, that it kept disappearing from different projects as if to wait for the right moment to be introduced to the world. Being on Evergreen, song release number 3… it’s crazy how things work themselves out for the best when you trust the process. I always wanted to change the lyrics of the first line because I was afraid it wouldn’t make sense. But the more I worked with it, the more personal it became, and the more truth it carried. I would tell you what it means to me, but I want to hear how all of you connect with it first, so I’ll just say this… This one is for anyone in a season of life where the structure of you that you’ve built for the world needs to take a break and make space to care for the human inside. Whether you have those people, or that person in your life that loves and supports that human, or you’re looking forward to meeting that person someday, this is for you. You deserve to be the human you are, and you deserve to be loved and seen for that human. I hear so often from the Dommes I work with that they struggle with people online fetichizing them and simply seeing them for how sexy and beautiful they are.
