This is also why grid systems work so well with coding agents. “Make it cleaner” is subjective; an 8px base grid and three type sizes give the agent constraints it can test.

- AssetHub officially launched - Using Metahuman Component as parts system in UEFN This is crazy! Just discovered I can use the Metahuman Component in UEFN as a general parts system! Perfect for modular characters. So I had to test it out. First step: character design. With GPT Image 2 I got some really solid characters to work with. These are perfect to test anime/ lowpoly models as well. Gavin Harvey also officially launched so I jumped on a fresh workflow to build the first one. Since I’m aiming for an anime/flat shaded style, I chose Tripo P1 to generate straight to low poly models. Results were perfect for me, UV and textured directly done. Did the main assembly in Blender. I transferred weights onto the new parts (like the jacket here) and used proportional editing to tweak vertices so everything fits together nicely. Then into UEFN / Unreal Engine: For the two-tone shadow look, I made a material that uses the sun direction as a mask. To make all the modular parts work together, I set up a blueprint with the body skeletal mesh as the base, and all the other parts attached as children. Now the really cool part: the Metahuman Component actually lets you plug in extra body parts directly. And every skeletal mesh can have its own Control Rig slot. That means you can layer procedural animations on top of your main animation setup. I used it for procedural eye blinking and hair physics. Since every part is separate, swapping variations is super easy while keeping all animations perfectly synced!

✨ I've been using #Unity3D for 12 years. ✨ I'm using Blender's GeoNodes for a procedural mesh that's realtime-animated with a custom shader in Unity. ---(reminiscing, reflection follows)-- At some point, you realize it's 'all' states, relationships, and data/information. What is, isn't, and how they relate, subject to laws, principles. 🌌 Define some latent space -> atomics, data -> simulation/form -> information. Like a grid-texture of pixels that are to mean something, represent something. And they are processed/simulated in some way by some measure. So that you get some transformed, meaningful result. What is possible, here? -- in that space. (by the parameters, and features *defined*). 🧊 Likewise, a 3D field-volume in which things exist, being and not being. It may sound mystical, but I mean it literally: the definition of what things are, and are not, and what that means as a relationship (to something[s]). Take, for example a sphere, or box collider primitive. 🪩 Sphere's and circles are the most simple colliders, involving only a point (where they are) and radius (distance from that point, as a center) to define. 💥 The equations to calculate collisions against and between spheres is also relatively straightforward. Implementation of that is a part of building primitive relationships and definitions for simulations. 🎇 It follows, that for a particle system, the data structure of a single element/particle is (about) some point that simulates in some way. Boids and fluid sims have this in common. It seems this year (so far) has been ~about realizing that (with greater lucidity, at least), and learning it all relates to the nature of the universe. Involving simulations, and data flow-control... Ultimately, all these things are objective to us, in that we learned and were taught about how things work. It's dangerous" Quick thoughts as an American with 9 years in CDMX 👇 1 🇲🇽) While what happened to her sucks, it doesn't define what the norm A vast majority of travel influencers visit Mexico City without problem Yes, there are bad areas and Condesa or Polanco don't represent the whole city But who cares? Most of the audience listening to "travel influencers" won't ever leave the expat areas anyway When this crowd talks about Mexico City, they're talking strictly about the nice areas and there's nothing wrong with that And yes, those areas are safe enough Not as safe as say some place in Switzerland but pretty chill anyway 2 🇲🇽) More broadly speaking though, she's kinda right also The "don't believe American propaganda" line is overused by travel influencers Because the same influencers do in fact make the mistake often of speaking about all of Mexico as if it were just Condesa And it's not propaganda to point out how fucked up Mexico can be outside the touristy areas (it can be VERY fucked up) Even Mexican media REGULARLY shows how fucked up Mexico can be on a daily basis. No shortage of crime and horror stories to report on And no, fucked up areas of the US can't be used to wave away how fucked up Mexico can be And you can't speak for those areas if you, the typical travel influencer, have never been to those areas either If you just stay in Polanco, what would you know about what most of Mexico is like? Nothing 💀

We are not okay, and that’s okay to say. I wish I could tell you that we are standing here and that the rest of the world is standing with us. With you. Sadly I can’t say that. There is a loud and aggressive minority around the world who doesn’t get, that being murdered at a peace festival does not equal resistance. I do however, know that we are standing here on behalf of all those people in the world, with moral clarity. And there are a lot of them. And there are many who want to be here with you. And they are here with you at heart. On October 7th, your loved ones went to Nova. We call it a peace music festival because that’s what it was—a place to make new friends, to let loos explore and celebrate life. And this juxtaposition hurts the most —because on that day, the light your loved ones were, was met with the most unimaginable darkness. Our lives will never be the same. But today, as we remember them, we also make a promise: to honor their memory by living as they would have. As we stand here in grief, we have a message to the world: we will not be defeated. Israel was attacked on October 7th and every day since, for the crime of existing. For the audacity of just being here. But we are here, and we are here to stay. And despite the trauma we’ve faced, we are in Israel, standing strong together, committed to the memories of those we lost and to the return of our hostages.
