A baby monkey in Kerala got a second chance at life, thanks to the quick thinking of a forest officer. Near the Golden Valley checkpost in Thiruvananthapuram, a playful tussle among monkeys turned dangerous when a baby accidentally touched a live wire. Within seconds, it collapsed, leaving it unconscious from the electric shock. On duty nearby, Arun PR, a beat forest officer stationed at Ponmudi, spotted the fallen monkey and rushed to help. Without wasting a moment, he picked up the fragile body and started performing CPR, right there in the middle of the forest. Minutes later, the effort paid off. The baby monkey slowly regained consciousness. Once stable, it was carefully taken back to its mother, who embraced it before leading it safely back into the forest.
