1. Multiple partially inflated parachutes is suboptimal. 2. If you're coming in hard - I'd recommend cutting your combat equipment prior to landing as you'll just hit harder if you still have it attached. 3. 1st guy to land likely had some significant injuries. 2nd guy *might* have been okay - likely because he cut away his combat equipment.
