When a well known person dies,they come out to show how hardworking they are. People die in our areas and police dont do such things. Infact a person dies in the morning and police show up at midday. They even tell you to pay for the fuel in their patrol vehicles. Silly boys😏😏

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, a team of detectives led by the KMP CID Commander, Birungi Beigumamu Milton, has been working around the clock to investigate the alleged criminal gang. DRC President Tshisekedi Donates Pickup Trucks To UPDF’s Operation Shujaa Beni, Friday 31 August 2026 The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo His excellency Felix Tshisekedi has gifted the Uganda peoples Defence Forces under Operation Shujaa with ten brand new Land cruser utility pick up trucks as a way of appreciation for the job well done in fighting the Allied Democratic Forces ( ADF ) terrorists, who have for long terrorised people in the two countries of Congo and Uganda especially eastern DRC. While handing over the vehicles on behalf of the president, the Governor North Kivu Maj Gen Somo Kakule Evariste said the president was appreciative of the good working relationship between the DRC government and Uganda, and the two Armies joint operations against the ADF terrorists. The vehicles will help in intensifying operations against the remaining ADF terrorists in order to restore complete security in the region. The Ituri governor appreciated the efforts of the joint forces FARDC and UPDF for the peace and calm in eastern DR congo . Maj Gen Stephen Mugerwa, the UPDF Joint Task Force commander Operation Shujaa and and commander of the Mountain infantry Division received the vehicles on behalf of the UPDF and the Ugandan government. Speaking at the same function in Beni Maj Gen Mugerwa, on behalf of the Commander In Chief His Excellency Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of Uganda and the Chief of Defence Forces UPDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, thanked His Excellency President Tshisekedi for the good gesture towards the UPDF and promised that the joint forces will not rest until all the ADF terrorists are wiped out completely from Eastern DRC. From the time operation Shujaa was launched in November 2021, a number of remarkable achievements have been registered by the joint forces FARDC and UPDF. Among them, relative peace has been restored in eastern DRC, Displaced people have been able to go back to their homes, thousands of abductees have been rescued, ADF has been degraded, and most of its senior commanders have been put out of action. In addition, schools have reopened and inter regional trade has significantly been boasted. Similarly, infrastructure projects such as a number of roads are being worked on. They include Beni - Khasindi, Beni - Biakato, Biakato Mangina and Luna Komanda among others .This development has seen the volume of cargo trucks increase from 13000 a months to 30000 plus between the two countries. Operation Shujaa is an on going military offensive conducted by the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces and Forces Armees de la Republique du Congo (FARDC) against the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in Kivu and Ituri regions. The operation was launched in November 2021 following a series of bomb attacks in the Capital Kampala. The ADF attacks prompted the Ugandan President Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to declare that the ADF militants would be hunted down in their hideouts. President Museveni subsequently met with the president of the DRC Felix Tshishekedi and the two agreed to organise a joint operation force against the regional terrorists.

Two Suspected Burglars Caught After Dramatic Chase Near Brits; One Killed in Crash A police and private security operation led to the arrest of two men suspected of a series of housebreakings in the Mothotlung and Letlhabile areas on Wednesday. The pursuit ended tragically when the suspects' vehicle crashed, killing the driver. The incident unfolded after an alert eyewitness in Mothotlung, who had previously been targeted by the suspects and identified them via home surveillance footage, reported their sighting. This sparked a chase towards Brits. In an attempt to evade capture, the suspects' vehicle collided with the rear of a bus. The driver died at the scene. New footage has been released of a fatal police-involved shooting on Reamy Drive in Suitland, Maryland last month🚨 Prince George’s County Police initially attempted to stop two cars near Randolph Road and Suitland Road on August 21st at around 11:30pm. The driver of a Tesla, later ID’d as 33 year-old Tawfiq Abdul Haqq, took off on officers at a dead-end. Haqq then veered off the street into the grass and began driving towards police who were out on foot, at which point officer Corbin Davis opened fire. Despite officers rendering aid, Haqq was later pronounced dead on scene. Davis is a two-year veteran assigned to PGPD’s District IV Special Assignments Team. (SAT) The Maryland Office of the Attorney General Independent Investigations Division continues to investigate the shooting.

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has stepped up its security operations in Bawku and surrounding areas following fresh clashes and sporadic gunfire. As part of efforts to restore calm, troops conducted cordon and search operations early Monday, April 21, in the Binduri Central Market area after hearing gunshots. A joint team from the 11 Mechanised Battalion, the Joint Task Force, and Police arrested a suspected gunman and retrieved weapons, including an AK-47, G3 rifle, 370 rounds of ammunition, and other military gear. Later that day, unknown gunmen attempted to infiltrate Binduri but were repelled by military patrols, resulting in an exchange of fire. The suspects fled, and the situation is now under control. The GAF has assured the public it remains on high alert and is working with other security agencies to maintain peace in the region, urging residents to support efforts to restore stability.

Date: 19 September 2026 THREE SUSPECTS LINKED TO A MURDER CASE IN ESTHER PARK-BEHIND BARS CITY OF EKURHULENI _On Wednesday 16 September 2026 at approximately 16h20, a 41-year-old male was fatally shot, at an intersection of Parklands and Cawood Streets, in Esther Park. The suspects fled the scene in a blue VW Jetta 5 sedan and a case of murder, was opened at the Sebenza police station, for further investigations. Upon verification, the getaway vehicle, was found to be linked to two (2) other cases of hijacking and murder. Following credible information received, a joint intelligence-driven operation, was activated comprising the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Northern Region Task Team, South African Police Service (SAPS) Crime Intelligence, and Blue Hawks Security personnel. Within 24 hours of the incident, the team worked tirelessly to track and intercept the suspects. One suspect, was apprehended in the Spartan area, while two (2) other suspects, were arrested at the Enhlanzeni Hostel, together with the vehicle, used in commission of the crime. One (1) suspect led Officers to a house, at the Allandale Farm in Mayibuye, where a Beretta pistol with a filed-off serial number and 17 rounds of live ammunition, believed to have been used in the murder, was recovered. The three (3) suspects have been detained and will face charges of 'possession of a suspected hijacked/robbed motor vehicle, murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm with ammunition'. The Chief of Police, Mr. IJ Mapiyeye, has commended the Officers for their swift response, dedication, and collaborative effort that led to the arrests. The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to send a clear and stern warning to all perpetrators of crime. Ekurhuleni is not a haven for criminal activity. Law enforcement agencies are on the ground, working around the clock to root out these senseless and heinous crimes committed in the City. Those responsible will face the full might of the law.
