It’s been a big week at Childress with $IREN's site team accepting delivery of not one but two medium-voltage transformers to support the energization of Horizon 1, our direct-to-chip, liquid-cooled AI data center. These dual units will be installed in Primary Substation 6 and, together with the dual high-voltage transformers already on site, form the foundation of our redundant power architecture. Securing these long-lead items ahead of schedule highlights the strength of our procurement team and puts us in a strong position for Q4 2025 delivery. There are real examples of this Northern Virginia is the center of this phenomenon known as Data Center Alley, even though the region has a shortage of more than 75,000 homes I found real devastating examples of this happening: Prince William County / Bristow, Virginia (Northern Virginia “Data Center Alley”) The homebuilder Steve Alloy’s company was preparing to develop 516 new homes when surrounding land was rapidly bought up by Microsoft, Google, and other data center operators instead. THE AYEDE TRANSMISSION SUBSTATION UPGRADE Project Timeline: The Ayede Transmission Substation upgrade in Oyo State is set to be completed in line with Phase One of the Presidential Power Initiative, which aims to add 4,000 megawatts of transmission capacity across Nigeria within three years.
