According to Colorado State Election laws, you have to be registered as a republican/democrat for a least a year prior to your caucus date in order to run for a primary. Eileen Laubacher (D) is running against current representative Lauren Bobert (R) this November. Eileen was PREVIOUSLY a registered republican, and missed her DEMOCRATIC registration deadline by one day, so the Democrat party moved the entire caucus back a day to accommodate her. What’s worse than the blatant corruption here, are the comments on this video saying Douglas County Colorado (which is basically the last red county in the metro area) is going to be blue this November. It appears that democrats are sacrificing Eileen with negative press to ensure every democrat votes for her opponent, Trisha Calvarese. They’re trying to sway the vote to beat Lauren, sealing Douglas County’s fate. Republicans better show up in November or there’s no where else to run.
