While visiting grandmas house, the kids see some McDonald’s bags in the cabinet. As soon as they reach for it, grandma runs in and stops them from eating it. She tells them they were from when their mom was a kid. The food was there since 2004. They open the wrappers to inspect the food, besides an unpleasant smell, the food is mostly intact. There isn’t a speck of mold on it at all. This begs the question of how many preservatives and chemicals are in this, it’s not natural for food to not spoil and get moldy. Should she put it back in the cabinet to see if it ever actually spoils, knowing this, why would anyone even eat this anymore?

This woman stands in the doorway of the metro train. By doing so she prevents the door from closing and the train from moving on. Obviously the other riders are losing patience with this woman. Is she confused? Maybe there is something wrong with her? One rider tries to push her shopping bags out of the way of the door so that it can close, but the door opens again and the whole scenario plays out once more. Is this a person in crisis, or is this someone trying to created a scam where someone gets mad enough to push her out of the way, and she then can sue them for making her fall? This woman is staying at this hotel and resort. It’s all inclusive, everything is included but the weird thing is, she has to eat or drink the items in the designated areas for food and drink. She has access to a beautiful balcony that is more private and she wanted to enjoy the food there. The resort said no, she had to eat it only in the dining areas. So she took the food and stuffed it in her purse and took it to the balcony anyways. An employee saw her and accused her of stealing the food. This woman lives in an HOA. The back of her yard backs up into an easement that is owned by the HOA. The trees back there are on the easement. She points out that there are fallen branches all over her neighbors yard because of the trees and there were many in her yard as well. So she and her children went and picked up all the branches and sticks in her yard and then she piled them up under the tree. She said since the tree is on the HOA easement, it’s their problem. She wants to know if she is the bad guy in all this. If it were me, I’d maintain my yard and put the branches and sticks out for the trash pickup. Do you think she is in the right and it’s the HOA’s problem? Or do you think she is wrong and is making a mountain out of a molehill and there are better hills to plant your flag on?

A wise person once asked, "do you ever feel like a plastic bag?" Plastic bags are used for everything in North Carolina. You can't recycle them curbside. They get tangled in the sorting equipment and require costly repairs. And if you try to recycle them at stores, there's no guarantee they will actually be recycled. Three years ago, I put Apple AirTags in plastic bags that were placed in plastic bag recycling bins to find out if they were going to recycling centers. They weren't. Now, Mecklenburg County is creating its own plastic bag recycling program. You can drop them off at any of the county's recycling centers. The bags then go to Fiberon in Stanly County where they are transformed into deck materials.

This lady ordered her food through DoorDash and when the order is placed the food is prepped for the driver, however the driver took 25 minutes to pick up the food and when she received it it was cold so she took it back to Wendy’s for a replacement and the manager agreed and was going to fix it for her until she started knocking on the counter demanding extra food for her trouble to come back, the manager took exception to her behavior and threw the food in the trash and told her to take it up with DoorDash, after all it was DoorDash’s mistake and they do have remedies for this type of thing, he was just being accommodating, when this didn’t work out for her she snatched another customer’s food and took off out the door.

This lady’s daughter is cleaning out her freezer, she argues that food never expires when it’s frozen. She has so much food buried in there that some of it she can’t remember when she even put it in. Her daughter was finding food from 2007. Many of these parents grew up in an era where food wasn’t as plentiful, so as they grew up they are taught not to waste or throw away food. So the discourse around this Dave Ramsey clip is so mixed up that I’ve just decided to upload the whole thing. In the full context of the call, the caller makes it perfectly obvious that: 1. She has been with this man, whom she is now living with, for six years. 2. She is a nurse and can make her own money. 3. She has been out of school for two years, and in that time she has paid off $70,000 of the debt. In the course of the call, Dave never suggests that this man should have to pay for that debt. Indeed, he actively suggests that she leave him, which guarantees he will not pay for the debt. Dave also all but says that, because of her career choice, the caller will be able to pay for the debt on her own, even if she has to take extra hours. All Dave is saying—and this should have been obvious from the original clip—is that the two are not aligned on money and debt at all. It is also clear that Dave thinks the man is stringing her along, which he is. So they simply should not be married at all, because this is a fundamental failure in the relationship. I myself would add that, at this late stage in the relationship, if you do not trust a woman financially, you should simply not be with that woman. And that is perfectly fine. But what you do not do is drag her along for six years when she obviously wants to get married, and then put another two or three years of financial hoops in front of her so that maybe you will propose. It is a waste of everybody’s time.

This woman lived in this college house alone in the summer while she was in school still and everyone went home for break. She worked as a bartender and wouldn’t get home until late night most of the time. She came home from work and as she entered each room, she turned on the light. She slept in one of the attic bedrooms. The other room she was always nervous about and kept the door shut. She woke up in the morning and when she unlocked her bedroom door, she opened it to see the attic door open, the closet in that room was open too and it was clear someone was in there waiting, she could see the contents of the closet pushed aside. So while she slept, according to her whoever it was tried to open her door but couldn’t, so they left. Needless to say that the experience scared and she moved out until the other students came back the following semester. Is it possible it was one of the other roommates coming to get something from their room, would you automatically assume this was an intruder, wouldn’t the have just kicked down the door?

Happy World Environment Day from Indian Railways ☘️ Cleaning staff caught throwing garbage on the tracks from a running train. When asked, the staff member said they did not have plastic bags to collect the waste. Imagine being paid to keep the country clean but making it dirtier instead. Meanwhile, Ministry of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw and IRCTC are just enjoying the show. Train is 22353, and all the waste was thrown outside the train after Nagpur. I'm sure the officials will ask for details and then do nothing, because who cares? :)
