However, on departure there was a problem with one of the engines that prevented it from taking off. "According to preliminary information, an A320 aircraft that was starting a flight between Pereira and Bogotá had to suspend takeoff on the runway, apparently due to a failure in one of its engines," the Civil Aeronautics department said.
