The exercise that most people have never even seen that can build your chest and pressing power the most It’s an exercise that has no home, no faction has made it famous. Allow me to share the benefits First, you actually already use this concept on other exercises. You barbell row, and you single arm row. Why wouldn’t you also barbell bench, and single arm bench? Second, most people would agree they have a stronger side. Usually the dominant arm is stronger. This exercise is great for ensuring you don’t have a large strength discrepancy on your arms, and if you do, this exercise can fix that for you. Single arm pressing is also going to train the core. A lot of people new to this exercise will actually report a lot of abdominal soreness, and you get this from bracing and stabilizing the load on one side and no load on the other. The weight creates a “sling” effect for the core. This is what makes single arm bench much different than just alternating bench. Lastly I think the triceps are trained much more directly than 2 arm variations which helps transfer to not only bench but overhead press as well

Porsche 911 GT3, 996. This is what makes it characterful. Manual only, 6 cylinders and a very race car feel. That already tells you everything. Then the engine, 3.6 Mezger flat-six that just wants to rev to 8200 RPM. Loud, mechanical and full of life this car feels raw a lot less than a modern GT3. Lightweight, direct steering and no filters. Compared to the 997, this feels more alive and looks more raw still. The headlights are still controversial and the interior is basic, ride is stiff too, but that’s part of it, you expect a car made for racing to handle comfortably? It’s about driving, racing and that’s what gives it character.

One smartphone at the core of a robot. The idea is simple but interesting: use a used smartphone as the main controller for a hobby robot, in this case a hexapod. Instead of adding separate boards and sensors, the phone already brings a lot of what robots need: - IMU and environmental sensors - WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular connectivity - Multiple cameras and GPS - Battery, display, GPU, and a fairly powerful processor All of this is already calibrated and supported by mature software tools and frameworks. What makes this approach worth looking at is not just convenience. It also reuses hardware that would otherwise end up as e-waste. Billions of smartphones are discarded every year. Robots moving railcars! 🚃 Did you know that KUKA is also in the mobile robots business? Yes, you heard that right. And not just any robots. Robots that carry up to 56 tons! 🏋🏼 The railcar production process is highly complex, particularly when moving massive cars sideways within a plant. This challenge has been addressed at the Siemens facility in Germany using the OmniMove system from KUKA. The system allows for precise positioning, enabling the units to lift, move, and lower railcars with remarkable accuracy. With Mecanum wheels, the OmniMove units can move seamlessly in any direction, making the process incredibly efficient. Together, these units are capable of lifting up to 56 tons, streamlining heavy railcar production. This one is clearly tele-operated, but just looking at it makes me feel safer when I see a human in the loop. Brain-controlled exoskeletons to train humanoid robots! 🧠 Fourier just presented human tele-operators using brain control interfaces and exoskeletal arms to train humanoid robots on home tasks. The brain control interface is the interesting part. Instead of using a controller or joystick to teleoperate, the operator's movements and intentions are captured more naturally through the exoskeleton and BCI. This means the demonstrations are more fluid, more human-like, and better suited for training robots to perform delicate home tasks. Multiple tele-operators are simultaneously generating training data across multiple robots. This is how you build the dataset needed for eventual full autonomy, without waiting years for it to arrive. This might be the bridge between "robots that work in controlled environments" and "robots that work in homes." Rogin: It looks very likely that we're about to restart bombing of Iran. And there are a lot of reports out there that this is about to happen. And what that means is that all of the problems, not just with the US economy, with the economy of every country in the world, are about to get worse. And it means that the Iran war is going to go much longer than otherwise anticipated. And that is a disaster not just for Americans, but for all people. And then if you think about the effects on energy and then manufacturing, and then rates will continue to go up, and then inflation, it's a it's a calamity for the world economy with no strategy whatsoever.
