A mafia operating in ecologically fragile Pahalgam allowing wanton illegal construction of hotels encroaching upon flood channels or Forest land is ill thought & detrimental to Kashmir’s environment already reeling from global warming. Haven’t seen Pahalgam in such a mess before. Please respect Kashmir’s pristine environment

Another Anandapur in the making under your nose, CP Kolkata Police? What is unfolding in Bhangar right now is nothing short of a criminal conspiracy against the people and the environment, and the TMC Government is the biggest facilitator. In the pitch-black cover of night, TMC-backed land mafias are brazenly filling up a massive public pond at the entrance to Bijoyganj Bazar in Bhangar; South 24 Parganas district. This is no ordinary water body, it is situated in a land officially recognized as belonging to the Hospital and the Health Department. Yet, dumpers loaded with soil and JCB machines are operating with complete impunity, destroying a vital water resource and an absent administration is looking the other way. This is not an isolated incident. This is the exact same dangerous template that created the man-made disaster in Anandapur just days ago. In Anandapur, illegal filling of protected East Kolkata Wetlands allowed illegitimate warehouses to spring up without any permission, license, or administrative supervision. The result? A horrific fire that trapped and killed dozens of poor workers, turning sleeping quarters into death traps. The TMC regime watched silently while mafias converted wetlands into illegal godowns and now they are repeating the same crime in Bhangar. Here too, literally a foundation is being laid for unauthorized constructions, unregulated activities, and zero oversight from Government departments. When the inevitable accident happens; a collapse, a fire, dangerous water logging, or worse, who will answer for the loss of innocent human lives? Mamata Banerjee? Her Ministers? Her local goons posing as "party workers"? This is not governance, this is Mafia Raj. This is systematic destruction of water bodies, environment, and public safety for personal profit and political patronage. The TMC has blood on its hands already from Anandapur, there shouldn't be more from Bhangar.

I have noted videos circulating on social media, some of which I have been tagged in, people claims that gangs of youths terrorizing city residents, particularly over the weekends. These youths disguise themselves as Gen Z content creators in the CBD, but by around 5:00 p.m., they begin stealing from unsuspecting people. They operate in large groups of 20–30 criminals, surrounding victims and robbing them of all their belongings. In addition, some claims that certain street families engage in illegal activities, including dumping waste at night and robbing people before fleeing to the backstreets. Some even use human waste to extort money or valuables from residents. Improper waste disposal and unsanitary practices not only harm the environment but also create unsafe spaces that criminals exploit. As Chief Officer of Environment, I recognize that a clean, well-managed city is a safer city. Our enforcement team, working closely with the National Police Service, continues operations to remove these individuals from our streets and ensure public spaces remain safe and hygienic. Security and environmental operations are underway, and no resident should live in fear. The safety, security, and cleanliness of our city and its residents remain paramount. We urge members of the public to report any such incidents, illegal dumping, or suspicious groups to the authorities so that immediate action can be taken. Protecting our city requires both vigilance and care for our environment it is a responsibility we all share.

Powerful VIP Linked to Noisy Kilimani Party As Nairobi Environment Officer Confronts Rowdy Foreign Guests On the night of Sunday September 8, 2024, Nairobi County Environment Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria intervened at a raucous party in Kilimani after receiving a noise complaint from a local resident. Upon arriving, Mosiria found the party hosted by Nigerians was causing significant disturbance to the neighbourhood. He attempted to address the issue by asking the attendees to reduce the volume of their music but one particularly aggressive guest resisted. This person who boasted about influential connections threatened Mosiria and tried to use his supposed status to intimidate him. According to a source, the party’s high-profile nature was underlined by the presence of an influential figure linked to prominent political circles. This is believed to have intensified the situation. The source also mentioned that the event might have been backed by the boss of a well-known international company as its country manager was reportedly among those seen in the video. "Hello Cyprian, I have come across a video where the County Officer environment Nairobi had gone to stop some Nigerians in Kilimani from playing loud music then the president's son-in-law Alexander Ezenagu is threatening him. Some friends tell me Pernod Ricard Martell probably sponsored this event that is making noise to neighbours. Pernod Ricard's country manager Olayinka can be seen in this video. Please keep my identity hidden!"
