Until Zenith, the only way to access that ecosystem as a developer was to learn Daml, a powerful language purpose-built for institutional contracts and entirely unfamiliar to most of the developer community that built DeFi. FIFA adopted a dynamic pricing approach to tickets, by which prices fluctuate in accordance with supply and demand. This made for some absurd fluctuations to ticket prices. Standard admission pricing for the semi-final between Chelsea and Brazil’s Fluminense at MetLife was reduced to just $13.40 on the weekend before last Tuesday’s match, having been priced at $473.90 less than 72 hours earlier. That meant it could be cheaper to buy a ticket to the game than to buy a cheesesteak ($15) or a beer ($14) once you were inside the stadium. FIFA is still intending to implement dynamic pricing next summer at the World Cup for standard-admission tickets and it remains to be seen whether those costs will reflect the challenges faced during the Club World Cup over the past month, or whether Gianni Infantino and company take the view that the World Cup is a premium product and worthy of sky-high demand. What do you need to have global pricing power for #Gold and #Silver? You need the highest prices in the world and the highest physical Gold & Silver delivery volume out of all the major exchanges in the world. The SGE delivers around 120 metric Tonnes of physical Gold per month and for a while it had the highest #Gold price in the world. The SGE therefore had global #Gold pricing power. The COMEX is now delivering around 250 metric Tonnes of physical Gold per month and it now has the highest #Gold price in the world (slightly higher price than the SGE). The COMEX now has global #Gold pricing power.
