One of the reasons closing of eyes during prayers is not highly encouraged in Islam. I close eyes a lot during prayers and would have being a victim of this.

4 MAJOR SUNNAH SCHOLARS, THE SAME FATWA Regarding when an Eid happens on a Friday Narrated by Abu Huraira (RA): “Two Eids occurred together during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, so he led the people in the Eid prayer and then said: ‘Whoever wants to attend Jumu’ah may do so, and we shall hold Jumu’ah.’” ~Sunan Abi Dawud 1073. The Hadith is classed as Sahih by scholars like Shaykh Nasiruddeen Al-Albani (RH). Another narration from Zayd ibn Arqam (RA) says: “The Prophet ﷺ performed the Eid prayer and gave a concession concerning Jumu’ah, saying, ‘Whoever wishes to attend (Jumu’ah), let him do so.’” ~Sunan Ibn Majah 1310, also authenticated by Imam Al-Albani (RH). 1. The Eid prayer suffices for Jumu’ah for those who attended Eid. The obligation of Jumu'ah congregation has ceased for one who attended Eid prayer. 2. For those that miss Eid prayer, the obligation of Jumu'ah congregation remains for them. 3. The Imam still performs the Jumu’ah prayer even after offering the Eid prayer, because he has to be there to lead those that missed Eid, because to them Jumu'ah is compulsory. 4. For those that skipped Jumu'ah, by relying on the Eid prayer they have performed, then they'd pray Dhuhr prayer. May Allãh SubhanaHu wata'ala grant our scholars the best of those world. Those that have died among them, may Allah bless them with Jannah.
