As officers arrived, the crowd began moving toward 46th St and Prairie Ave. A group of teens then became involved in a fight. During the altercation, one of the teens pulled out a gun and opened fire into the crowd, striking four people. CPD officers immediately took the offender into custody.

After failing miserably over and over on fatal CPD shootings, you'd think Chicago media would try to get it right at least once. Nearly every local TV affiliate is reporting the gun an armed thug used last night to shoot a CPD just "went off." Note to all Chicago media: A "struggle with police" is resisting arrest. Guns don't "go off." They are fired by criminals. Disgracefully, ABC 7 Chicago interviewed family of the armed thug, allowing them to pollute the airwaves with patently false stories, including one of our favorites, the “hands up, don’t shoot” myth. Chicago Police BWC will confirm the following: CPD observed what was a possible drug transaction in an alley. CPD approached the armed thug. Armed thug fled to the backyard of a nearby home.
