@ZOrtiz99 Did this with both of my kids. Best way to teach them to drive stick. They get the shift pattern down first, then when they’re old enough all they have to learn is the clutch. Both picked up driving standard with no issues.

@ZOrtiz99 Didn't every kid shift for their dad? I learned on a 3 on the tree standing in dads lap.

@ZOrtiz99 She will be great.

@ZOrtiz99 Dad teaching his little girl to shift gears in the convertible – pure bonding magic! She’s focused, he’s patient – memory she'll treasure forever!

@ZOrtiz99 its a crazy trust between the father and the daughter

@ZOrtiz99 Cute moment

@ZOrtiz99 I remember doing this with my Dad when I was little. Definitely a core memory.

@ZOrtiz99 @grok generate a photo from this one that's a spaceship with father and daughter flying away from the solar system. with the milkyway and the sun in the background.

@ZOrtiz99 I can still remember sitting in my dads lap and being allowed to steer the car in our neighbourhood. The best of times. One of my first best memories that stuck with me.

@ZOrtiz99 one of the proud, the few... youngsters who can shift a manual transmission

This is how my Grandma taught me to drive a stick. Me at the time thinking I would never really need to drive it. Well at 16 I still hadn't been in the driver seat and I got a call saying I needed to go get Grandma's car from work because she got rushed to the hospital after putting her hand through a mixing machine... good thing she taught me the basics when I was young! Needless to say Grandma is now fine and I got the car home without killing it or needing a new clutch...

@ZOrtiz99 We must celebrate present fathers

@ZOrtiz99 Was just waiting for her to slam it into R and hear the transmission fall out behind them as they coast down the road

@ZOrtiz99 Best dad award goes to this guy. Make memories. This is what life is all about.

My Daughter is my eldest. When she was a toddler we would ride to my Dads house on my bike. She would sit in front of me and sometimes hug the gas tank and sleep. It was not a short trip. I had scratches in the paint from the snaps on her faceshield. Those memories are dear to me. We are still close. 😊

@ZOrtiz99 Aww. My mom did this with me.

@ZOrtiz99 And she’s going to learn manual transmission!💥❤️

@ZOrtiz99

@ZOrtiz99 Was about to comment how risky this can be until I saw the CS commending the video. Seems I’m from the other side of this world

@ZOrtiz99 I did that with my dad in his pickup truck! 💓💓💓💓💓 Many years ago!

@ZOrtiz99 Beautiful, but she is not getting to enjoy the scenic view around her; you can always be a driving partner, but you will not be daddy's little girl forever😒.

A convertible car is the most underrated joys of summer. The saddest day of the year when I put my convertible in storage. The best days is the first drive in spring time, top down on the Mercedes roadster the smell of blooming flowers, lilac trees, and a fresh mowed hayfield. Can’t wait for spring to get here.

@ZOrtiz99 My dad used to let me do that when I was young, good times!

@ZOrtiz99 She’s definitely going to become a very good driver someday

@ZOrtiz99 Did this with both my kids.

@ZOrtiz99 My son still remembers doing that when he was young. And I did the same thing with my dad, but i was older when I did it with dad. Still beautiful memories.

@ZOrtiz99 My friends would just knock my car out of gear!

@ZOrtiz99

@ZOrtiz99 Me as an 18 years old that can't drive an automatic

@ZOrtiz99 That's how I learned to drive a truck with my Dad.

@ZOrtiz99

@ZOrtiz99 That is how I learned to drive stick. It’s the best way.

@ZOrtiz99 At 9 I drove the beater 1944 dual tire farm truck. I had my butt on the edge of the seat to get the clutch in. Tough to reach the shifter so I had my older ugly sister. Lol shift the gears. Starter didn’t work we parked it on the barn hill.

@ZOrtiz99 Growing up on a farm I was told to get in the drives seat and drive at the young age of 7. Its always a great memory when a father let's their child shift the car like that.

@ZOrtiz99 This is how my dad taught me how to shift. In a 1988 Honda
