A motorist’s dashcam captured the moment a construction lorry lost control and fell onto the busy Mombasa Highway. It is still unclear what caused the vehicle to behave that way.

We have become a heartless country. Motorists can't even stop to assist

Poor load balance, too much weight at the rear. But that's beside the point, nobody stopped to assist the occupants, why?

I know these truck guys,especially the concrete lorries,exhauster,and water Bowsers..If you see them. run away.. He wanted to show the guy,you are not supposed to be infront of me..All I can say is attitude..

Whether its their hearts or just curiosity, boda people seem yo be the first to rush to assist accident people. Is there any organization equipping them with first aid skills

Clearly this lorry driver does not understand the concept of displacement. One swing of the steering wheel and the concrete in the back swings with him.

The buoyancy of the liquidous load. He was following that car in front at a very close distance, the minute it brakes, he had to evade collision. That's when the load dance started & oscillated out of control.

He was furious to overtake the black SUV that slowed down. Unashindwa what was his rage for.

Kawaida ya kenya lorry drivers, speeding kila mahali like F1 drivers , even on corrugated roads. Ni kugongesha chuma tu. I pity the owners and what this monkeys put them through via unnecessary repairs. Ghassia inapewa gari mpya kazi ni kuflex nayo endangering everyone else

My theory: The drum was loaded with liquid cement, and the driver turning the vehicle abruptly caused it to begin to slosh inside. It does appear to be top heavy. Newton's 3rd law came into play in that it now rebounded the other way. As this cement is quite heavy, it causes the whole truck to start swaying. The driver then tries compensating for it, but their timing is off and amplifies this reaction. Eventually, it tips over the whole truck. Just a theory...

To me it looks intentional or unexperienced driver no signs of slowing down or breaking

And its the boda people that will rush to try rescue the driver as petsonal cars go about their lives. May God change our hearts.

The black car is just chilling, merging onto the highway when the lorry driver apparently loses his mind. He swerves, overtakes like a maniac, practically trying to swipe the black car & then, chaos explodes. The lorry flips, skidding across the road like a runaway monster.

Imo, the black cx5 was going too slow on the highway and the lorry was loaded, which made it hard to bring to a halt or change lane easily. Funny how after the accident, the cx5 sped off.

Waaahhh...along waiyaki way these lorries are driven 'differently' jana stretch between nyayo house roundabout to st Andrews one was driven along the left side drive towards Westland at speed throwing pedestrians to squeeze on the barbed wire of the Park next to Serena hotel

You should see the way these particular lorries drive over bumps at high speed on Waiyaki Way like there are no bumps. They'll only slow down if all three lanes have vehicles that have slowed down.

The white car cut off the black harrier, so the harrier had to break and the lorry was tail gating the harrier so it had to break and swerve in order to avoid a collision. In my opinion both the white car and the lorry were at fault. But it could have been worse

The black cx5 breaked instantly after being cut-off by the white car, the lorry was trying to swerve not to hit it at the back.

Why was he driving the truck so fast to begin with? Clearly that an exit and branches into the slow lane. The driver at this point is then only one to blame. Moving fast probably with a full load, near multiple exit points, poor reaction. He should have slowed down!

Road rage gone wrong - The black car was to he swept off the road but the COG of the concrete truck lost stability. Another reasons some commercial drivers lack common sense and emotional intelligence.

Clearly you can see the white car cause the black one to slow down, however, the truck made a quick right turn and at the same time started speeding before he made the turn. Reckless on his part !! The fault is on the truck driver. But the white car is also shouldn’t have a license due to their lack of awareness.

The mixed concrete has a a small time frame before its rendered useless. Seems the driver was speeding to beat time.

Reckless driving, evidently. No turning indicators, no hazard indicators... The speed for a lorry, that was too much. @ntsa_kenya @KeNHAKenya take note.
