Many people who are confident in their beliefs are immediately labeled as arrogant. That’s sad that your Pastor said that.

Charlie grew in his faith. He knew those verses referred to the Jacob and the descendants of Abraham. NOT the secular country of Israel. Charlie spoke over and over about the ONLY people going to Heaven are followers of Christ. Christ specifically addressed who are and are not the children of Abraham. Only those who believe in him. John 8 "39 They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, 40 but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. 41 You are doing the works your father did.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father—even God.” 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. 43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me."

That he was. Maybe Christians will now will realize the value of apologetics. I was often told by pastors and other Christians that they want to ‘focus on the gospel and not apologetics.’ Charlie showed people just how the gospel is about sharing the truth. That’s why apologetics is so important for the church.

He's right. I didn't realize how much my Christian faith mattered to me until I walked the same road as they did. Shivers. Not from fear but from reverence. After that, I KNEW my faith was UNSHAKEABLE. And... when I visited Dachau, the war became real to me. Not just words/pictures in a book. The very AIR felt heavy there, as if those souls were still there, crying out for humanity to see them as Human beings. They were failed, not just by Germany, but by the world that decided they were disposable. Small messages have GREAT meaning. Do not dismiss the wisdom nor the LIVED experiences of those who tell you, LIFE is a PRECIOUS GIFT FROM GOD. See something? SAY something. Charlie did. ❤️
