ICYMI: Hytale’s Update 5 is out! We want to shine a spotlight on our new Trigger Volume Tool which allows you to place persistent 3D volumes that trigger configurable effects when conditions are met. Think of these 3D volumes as tripwires that are completely invisible to the player. However, when something happens inside of it (a player walks into it, a creature walks out, a block is placed, an arrow is shot, etc.) it will react by running a desired effect. Here’s a compilation from our Level Designers demonstrating what's possible with this tool. Not a single line of code was written to do this. 100% UI based scripting! 🤯

New in Notch 2026.2: fully interactive Gaussian Splats. Imported objects and environments can be lit, reflected, and cast shadows, sitting naturally alongside any other element in the production. Zero-shot, single-view & super reliable ⬇️ + Paper Grasping random objects is hard for robots, especially when shapes, weights, and materials vary. I just tested Claude’s Niagara skills. I had it create this “quest icon” Niagara system using two assets I provided it with. A single 3D model and a single texture. It did the rest and I even had it create a bp parameter value to adjust the circle sprite.

The same “three-point turn” trigger that he and Judson Welcher used to form their entirely new analysis around, and which they now refer to as 1162-1, with trigger 1162-2 now being the trigger at issue.
