The scientists think this is because their leg muscles were put back together in a special way, the signals from the tiny parts inside their muscles were very clear, and there was no big fake leg cover causing problems. The special fake leg controller could also copy the movements the people felt their missing leg was making. Also, making the fake leg more connected to the body made the people feel like the fake leg was more a part of them. This showed a new way to see how well fake legs work and how to choose the best one. ......
