A Proud Moment for SBI At a prestigious ceremony held at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi, on 1st September 2025, State Bank of India and Indian Railways signed an MoU for the SBI's curated Railway Salary Package for the employees of Indian Railways. The event was graced by: Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Chairman & CEO, Railway Board, Shri Satish Kumar Chairman, SBI, Shri C.S. Setty And other senior dignitaries from Indian Railways and SBI. Through this collaboration, SBI will extend curated salary package to 12.6 lakh Railway employees, acknowledging their invaluable contribution as the backbone of India’s lifeline. On the occasion, SBI Chairman Shri C.S. Setty, also presented a cheque of ₹11.40 crore towards accidental claims to Chairman & CEO, Railway Board, Shri Satish Kumar for the families of deceased Railway employees, reaffirming SBI’s commitment to standing with them in times of need. As part of the Railway Salary Package, Indian Railways employees will be covered under Personal Accidental Insurance and Air Accidental Insurance, ensuring enhanced financial security for them and their families. This will be in addition to a host of other features including life style privileges for them and their family members.
