An incredible orca (killer whale) hunting strategy used by a specific pod to catch seals sheltering on floating ice rafts in Antarctic waters. The orca pod spreads out across the water and spy-hops (poking their heads above the surface) to scan ice floes for seals. When a seal is spotted on a large, stable ice platform, scout orcas alert the rest of the family pod with a rallying call. The matriarch (lead female) then directs the pod to physically push the remaining ice raft toward open water, away from the main ice field where the seal could escape or hide. They work together to disorient the seal and destabilize the ice, allowing the whales to close in for the kill. Nature is beautiful and cruel at the same time.

The terrifying moment kayakers rescued two women from a dolphin that almost drowned them in Dorset has been captured on video, just days after marine experts warned people to leave the dolphin alone. The mammal known as 'Reggie' became a social media star for his interactions with people in Lyme Bay in the lead up to the encounter this week. Reggie jumped onto the backs of the swimmers and forced them underwater.
