One of the key claims made by Ukraine’s opponents and by those who trust dubious sources is that we in Ukraine supposedly want the war to continue. Your task is to consistently, persuasively, and credibly reject this accusation. It is Ukraine that wants peace. Ukraine has never wanted this war – not for a single day. It is Russia that is doing everything possible to prolong the war and inflict as much damage on human life as it can. We are working toward diplomacy. All leaders who can help know that we are ready for every substantive format. Putin is not ready. And that is precisely the problem. And for there to be a diplomatic path, there must be no obstacles to it in any influential capital in the world. When Moscow does not want peace, Washington and Beijing can make it want peace.
