You should go on a class trip, it’s bananas on a whole different level of bananas🤣

When I taught 3rd we took the kids on a field trip to the LA Zoo. We had parent volunteers as chaperones. When we got back, one of my dads said I don’t know how you don’t go home and drink all night. He was done.

My wife teaches IEP students in grade2. This time of year there are multiple field trips. Marshaling 19 7-8 year olds is an exhausting challenge. Fourth grade they go to the Bronx Zoo!

Even one grateful parent is enough to keep teachers going and doing a job that few outside of the profession fully understand the demands, stress and effort associated with it.

Imagine teaching PE where it’s the norm to have multiple classes at once. Complete lack of respect for the profession and esp towards PE. 7 different 45 minute class sessions w/ over 55 at a time. I always laugh at how exhausted teachers are after field day. Thats my life daily…

I’m a substitute teacher. I thought I would do law work in evening but after 6.5 hours in classroom I’m tapped out. It’s intensive work. Elementary more hands on and nonstop. Middle school the challenge are the bad behaviors.

Only an hour and she’s crying…. ? 🤣🤣 Buckle up, go back and volunteer on a regular basis to make a difference.

@NicholasFerroni Looks like she was crying. Instead of teachers crying in their cars, now it’s parents.

More parents need to come in and volunteer to understand how difficult the job is. One teacher ended up staying in class during lunch and break due to wet play and was so overwhlemed by the end of the day, she just broke down crying.

The crazy thing is that when we have parents come in we are told, as a staff team, to be perfect and make sure the events goes off without a hitch so she was seeing the best part of the event
