Fifteen years ago, for many states, 4 years of high school math became a requirement for HS students. Some of the Algebra 2 concepts from back then are currently being introduced in the 7th grade! I.e. linear systems For the vast majority of kids, we need to slow the heck down!

The teenager is now charged with three misdemeanors for assaulting a government official. Unlike typical cases, the district attorney swiftly investigated the incident after the video surfaced. Forsyth County DA Jim O’Neil stated, “Both Sheriff Kimbrell and I spent the morning at Parkland High School talking with the teacher. This isn’t about race or politics; it's about sending a message of support to teachers. Law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office stand with you and value the work you do.”

A 4-day school week for students could be a win for EVERYONE. TEACHERS could finally use the 5th day to catch up on their insane workload. STUDENTS could participate in off-campus activities, jobs, appointments, or extracurriculars without living minute-to-minute every day. And before people object because they view schools as daycares, families would adjust…just like they do for summer break, holidays, snow days, and teacher workdays.
