Getting 95’s and 97 on my civil service exams only to be told they couldn’t hire me because I was white, on multiple interviews. That was my white privilege.

This is bittersweet. On one hand, I thank God for firefighters & all your heroic work on the ‘front lines’ of this catastrophic fire(s), but on the other hand—SHAME on your WOKE/PC bullshit policies! The insanity has been going on too long and it’s💩. If anyone is qualified for the job or the acceptance to the universities, then they should get it. The simple way to fix this is to do “blind “applications, but the evil globalist people don’t like that …
I was denied a job for being white in the mid seventies. I was told point blank, “You’re white, so I can’t hire you.” My wife was told,”You are the most qualified, but since you’re white I can’t hire you.” It was called AFFIRMATIVE ACTION in those days. It’s DEI today. Whatever it’s called it’s discrimination. So much for white privilege. Funny thing is that my mother was Hispanic & my ancestors immigrated from Mexico! If I’d only had her Hispanic maiden name.🤫
That's a fact a buddy of mine was a fireman in the Navy. He wanted to get a job as a fireman. They said is the most qualified individual but could not hire him because he was white.
I took a civil service exam after the marine corps to apply for a job as a rural mail carrier. Scored high. The black woman that got the job couldn't finish the test. More than half her answers were wrong. She got the job. That's my white privilege.
