Speaking ebonics is not speaking a different language. It's still speaking English just speaking it very poorly which makes you look uneducated. Telling your black kids this story so that they feel better than white kids is just setting them up for failure! You're not doing your children any favors!

Chinese wumao accounts are at it again. This is exactly why accurate translation matters. In this case, a video of a foreign person speaking a language most viewers do not understand was reposted with a completely unrelated political caption. Because viewers cannot verify the speech themselves and must rely on subtitles or the poster’s framing, many assume the message is genuine. What the person actually said is wildly different from the claim. A normal Japanese idol from Fukuoka was falsely presented as making a declaration in support of Okinawan independence. This is how misinformation works: when language barriers exist, context can be rewritten, intent can be fabricated, and an ordinary clip can be turned into propaganda.

The lady says that "You are not in Bangladesh, You are at India" to another woman, for speaking bengali 🙂 She also adds, "You must speak and learn Hindi" ‼️ Hindi is not our national language. For the matter of fact there is no designated national language of India. This false notion and mockery of other languages should stop ⚠️
