When it comes to language West Bengal has always been very tolerant. Most Bengalis can speak hindi or switch to english as per the ease of communication. But this is not the same when it comes to many other states of India. I am not against this tolerance because language shouldn't be a barrier but the pseudo superiority of "speaking hindi" is unacceptable. Yes, you might not know another language but you should respect the same when u speak with the residents of a certain state. You cannot mock any other regional language only because you can't speak the same and say remarks like "Go to Bangladesh if you speak Bengali" ‼️ Hindi is widely spoken, true, but not the national language.
