A pretty typical day for me consists of: —Mass —Rosary —Exercise —Reading/research —Writing —Laying the groundwork for future Eternal Christendom projects —Piano practice (old and new repertoire) We pray for our patrons everyday. We are digging into the pieces of the Great Tradition everyday to share treasure with you... all. And I keep music a regular part of my life not only for the joy of it, but because it helps me maintain and grow my creative discipline in one of the great arts. I’ve recently been working on some of Chopin’s Etudes, including the “Ocean” Etude the clip below comes from (for its imitation of rolling waves). I believe music—whether as a musician, or as an attuned listener—plays a vital part in the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional formation of any one striving for virtue. I’ve learned so many disciplines from music, and have many more yet to learn and improve at. If you learn to know and love great music, it will help you grow in many ways. The rise and fall of a culture and society can in many ways be traced by analyzing its music.show more

This last year and a half has been quite a challenging and equally awesome time. I’ve faced a lot of backlash for what I sing about, which in some ways has set me back, but in many other ways has opened incredible new doors. I had no idea there were so many of us who felt the same way. We’re fed up with much of what’s going on in the world. The systems that don’t serve us but pretend to. The institutions that rob us and keep us dependent. But what has been so beautiful is discovering how many of us feel this together and genuinely want to create a future that uplifts and serves humanity, and each other. There are so many people working for good, working for the light. I hope the music and art I make can contribute to that in a great way. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for having my back. I have yours too.

I’ve been working quietly on something that marks a new chapter for me. Music that carries where I come from, who I have become, and where I’m heading. This album is my story, the lessons I have learned, the friendships I have lost, the wins I have celebrated, the grief of losing my father, the joy of welcoming my daughter into the world, and so much more. This album has been 5 years in the making and it is my GREATEST work yet; my ability to outdo myself continues to amaze me. Collateral (2004) Michael Mann on using music to reveal character. "As research, music enters early for me. If you can find that piece of music which evokes the central emotion of one of your characters, some pivotal crisis where he or she must rouse themselves from despair and manifest something very aggressive within his or her own mind—this becomes the piece of music for that moment. If I want to quantify how a character is feeling and thinking, in a way that is replicable, so I can re-evoke that emotion many, many times, finding the right piece of music is positively essential. Not only as I prepare the scene—but as I shoot the scene, as I direct the actors, and finally, as I edit the scene. One specific example comes to mind in Collateral, when the coyotes cross in front of the cab. For me, that was a watershed in the story's progression. Each of the two principle characters is submerging into his own perspective of what life is: a retrospective moment; a prelude to a violent confrontation. The song "Shadow on the Sun" by Audioslave nailed that moment for me. It became an indelible part of planning, sustaining, and executing that scene."

Crying as I type this but fuck it, vulnerable post incoming 🥹 This year so far has been one of the most difficult in my career and to be honest, I have been struggling with a lot of things in and out of work. So to hear all this from Mousey - to have her spend so much time on-stream listening to "La Gremolin Romántica" and praising me like this, is just the best thing I could possibly ask for right now 😭 ironmouse🇵🇷😈💖 you have no idea how much this stream meant to me. I love making music for you and getting to be a small part of your incredible journey. I know you said my music deserves to be in an award-winning anime, but truthfully I feel like what I have is just as good, if not even better! RIP to Brian Wilson. The Beach Boys legend died at 82. Paul McCartney has said “God Only Knows” is the greatest song ever written and one of the few to bring him to tears. In 2000, McCartney inducted Wilson into the Songwriters Hall of Fame with a heartfelt speech: “He wrote some music that when I played it, it made me cry and I don't quite know why. It wasn't necessarily the words or the music. There was just something so deep in it. There's only certain pieces of music that can do this to me and just reach it right down in me. I think it's a sign of great genius to be able to do that with a bunch of words and a bunch of notes. This man deserves to be in the Hall of Fame that's for sure. So, thank you sir for everything you've done for me. For making me cry. For having that thing you can do with your music. You just put those notes and those harmonies together. “when you charles leclerc go to bed, what do you think of?” 🆑: what i love most doing is racing. but i raced since i'm three and a half years old and i spent many of my nights thinking about racing and racing only but i'm also very creative. i think one of the things with me is that i love being creative but at the same time, i get obsessed with things very quickly and with new passions. one week it will be padel and the other week will be music and piano. every week i find a new thing that i'm super curious about, that i want to learn of and that i keep thinking about. and so sometimes it can be not really related to racing and it can be any new passions like padel or music. and sometimes it's racing. it's not necessarily always the same thing. but when a thought is too strong for you to fall asleep, as i said, i value sleeping. and so i want sleeps and then so i found ways in order to try and switch off the brain as much as possible. 🎥: eight sleep

Last night was one of if not most significant nights of my life. Getting to play the home town stadium was already a fever dream but having one of the many heros that were there last night present an award to me was not on my bingo card. Thank you Cody Canada Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame & Museum for choosing me for the rising star award. It is one of the greatest honors in my life. My heart is full of emotions for what has happened in the last 24 hours. I will always be proud to be an Oklahoman and a red dirt artist. Thank you all for believing in my music and me. I love y’all so much!

This was one of the most fun episodes for me with Alex Pall from The Chainsmokers and Mantis. I love music so it was very fun for me to get to hear the stories behind the creation of songs like Something Just Like This, Closer, and Don't Let me Down. We also talked about creation of art in general, the role of albums in music, sources of inspiration, and how AI will impact music. Alex is also a great startup investor, and one of few people operating at a high level in two distinct industries at once.

We finally got a Piano for the house. I Went to Revivals Stores on a whim as I always do and saw this beauty. It was in great condition and obviously has been loved and played and looked after for many years. It was originally built in 1978 and if I’m correct she is an upright rehearsal Piano. To think of all the glorious songs that have already been played on those keys and now she (Betty Schafer) her new name, will help me rehearse the music for all my upcoming shows. If anyone has info on the makers of her Schafer and Sons pop in the comments. Scott R Gill is also very excited so much so he wants to learn music theory. Apparently I’m not a good teacher so he has resorted to You Tube. Anyway we will post vids of rehearsals when the team Ben Papworth and Keith Jack arrive for my upcoming shows in Palm Springs (All Sold out).
