A question for First Nations in Canada:

It’s like this. If Canada continues on this current land grab and authoritarianism path of government, the country will fail and fall to pieces. Alberta and Saskatchewan will leave and then the rest of Canada will be up for grabs to the highest bidder (51stState). I’m pretty sure Canada will fail within 5 years if there’s no election and the Big Liberal Bloated Budget passes and the Liberals continue on in power.

Not to mention the Muslims sure as fuck won’t be willing to pump out billions of tax dollars on debt to natives each year

Where did you see this? I call bs. The Cowichan leadership has clearly stated that it was never their intention to take privately owned land. They went to court to start a dialog.

I have been thinking about this all day. The tribe members are far more likely to have “colonizer blood” than 90% of Canadians. It doesn’t make sense unless you argue that what we are trying to reconcile with is the culture. But the culture was objectively worse.

@porridgeisgood Look up the reparations for Māori in New Zealand. Either they take back the land and control of it or they must be suitably compensated for not doing it. So how this pans out is up to government to set the rules.

Humans did not make this land, and the truth is no one owns it, not even the natives. The natives were nomads that also once upon a time came to North America. The societal structures we live in today were from Europe and the settlers. I wish Humans would stop this division.
