Novas and Firebirds and Pickups, Oh My!

Imagine seeing all those cars together now!

I drove a '69 F250 Ranger Camper Special

@KathleenWinche3 I still drive a 77

I was in high school then. That’s 100% accurate.

The original 1977 footage with all the natural sounds is much more interesting. Enjoy:

I remember in highschool this kid, Curtis, had a truck with a rifle hanging on his back window and nobody thought anything of it.

I'd go back in a heart beat

I would take any of those cars in that video now. Even the Monza.

This was my ride...

Wow! Look at you!!!

Ah, the memories!

The best of times!

@FLCons Gun Racks in the truck windows too

I was in 7th grade then.

I was in elementary school lol

My Dad bought a brand new 4 speed Ford Pinto that year.

😭I want to go back 🤍NOW

I was driving a 1966 Plymouth 4 door. I paid 1 dollar for it. With pot seeds in the air cleaner.

@KathleenWinche3 Love me some Chicago and nostalgia.

Those are mostly the parents cars. I and a few others worked part time, we bought muscle cars in HS. Because in 77, the greatest cars ever made were getting to be around 6-10 years old, they bottomed out in cost to buy.

@KathleenWinche3 Where’s the cloud rolling out when the door opens

yes it was

I drove one of those cars. Only mine was white and it was later 70s

I still have panic dreams where I can't find my car!

I wasn't in high school yet. It was a completely different world back then. Seems like a dream now.

That was when life was normal.

Love it.

Junior in High School then. It's very accurate except we didn't have a nice paved parking lot.

@drjamesbjoyce It was ICY in the school Student parking lot where the Principal was walking out to Throw my Brother out of school - for doing "donuts" in the parking lot! Good Times! 😁

Sophomore Year Baby! 😀

@SaraB96265478 Hey, that's my high school

@realAnn_29 Maybe for Rich kids! We walked, but loved riding around in their cars!

@KathleenWinche3 Yep!,

It was so much better.

Yup, looks about right.

Yup

Chicago! I was just getting my feet wet in 77 learning how to drive a 1970 Dodge Dart!
