A Raspberry Pi 4 is still the ultimate budget multi console and DOS emulation machine btw. 50 bucks, less than 15W power draw, virtually inaudible, plays thousands of great games and most of video gaming history's milestones.

European ones, but I guess that's still 80 maple leaves

Nope. No analog input. Fail

What would it need an analog input for, it has an analog output, so you can connect it to a CRT if you want.

Pc joysticks are analog.

That HP PA-RISC workstation looks like an easter egg in the game selecter.

To be brutally honest I believe the creator of the theme just didn't know better.

I'm considering this for dos and older computer games if it's easier to record game play from it just have to confirm price for a unit. Connections etc

It's fine for DOS, but it's not really fast enough for any Windows games.

That's actually fine I just wanted a easier external option for recording game play dos other compiter etc commodore 64 etc . Since pc streaming is troublesome for capturing directly.

I guess in that case you can also just use the second HDMI port of the Pi 4 instead of the analog out. C64, Amiga, DOS, NES, SNES, GB/C, GBA, SMS, Genesis/Megadrive all work flawlessly. I use CRT or LCD shaders depending on the platform plus an overlay, but don't have to.

How is the input delay laq?

I wouldn't know, I play 99% turn based stuff and am not someone who notices input lag unless it's awful. It's probably on par with PC emulators, but more than on an FPGA based system. I'd say you probably only notice any if you're playing action games competitively.

Oh but I forgot: you can actually configure a lot of cores for runahead (effectively reducing any possible lag by 1 or even 2 frames).

So what is the newest system it can emulate? In case of name?

PSX works well, N64 with a few exceptions but it's notoriously bad to emulate on any system. Dreamcast also runs fine, surprisingly.

What OS is that on the Pi?

It's a minimal Raspbian, installed mostly automatically via RetroPie, booting directly into EmulationStation (a frontend for RetroArch).
