Clinton: The best exchange that I had came at the very end, when contrary to every other deposition they have taken, no Republican member asked any question about Jeffrey Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell to anyone else they had deposed. In fact, the Republican members didn't even show up for the deposition of Les Wexner. And when I said that, I had to point out that the only questions that any Republican member asked of any of the people they deposed was former AG Barr, when Chairman Comer asked him about the allegations in his view about Russia's involvement in my election in 2016. So at the very end of this hearing, after I made that point I want to commend Chairman Comer for raising a series of significant questions that I responded to about the nature of the investigation, in the areas that I thought should be explored.

In this week’s Science Committee Democrats hearing, I asked the Under Secretary of Science why the President’s budget request for solar and wind technology was zeroed out. He talked about advancing the fundamentals of basic science, but when I asked whether he disagreed with Secretary Wright’s claim that wind and solar infrastructure is worthless when it’s dark outside or the wind isn’t blowing, he couldn’t answer. This administration is a walking paradox.

If you thought Democrats were already flirting with communism, wait until you see these poll numbers. “I read these [poll numbers]: 74% [of Democrats] are for democratic socialism, only 16% favor capitalism.” “Is this going to be a country that I don’t recognize in five to ten years if we don’t have these two pillars [democracy and capitalism]?” Maher asked. “I mean, where are the Democrats going with this? If Mamdami is the face of the Democrats on the East Coast and Katie Porter is the face on the West Coast, I don’t know if that’s great politically for that party.”

I worry that when the history books are written about this country going down, that my name is going to be on the Board of Directors here. If this country is going down, I am going down fighting. I don't care if that means fighting Republicans, Democrats, the uniparty, House leadership, the PACs, or the lobbyists. I've had it.
