I visited the Thessalon Hospital and heard from health care workers stretched to the breaking point: people getting sicker without family doctors, emergency rooms overwhelmed, staff burning out. These challenges are hitting northern and rural communities hardest—but they’re spreading across Ontario. When governments fail to invest in local capacity and download responsibility onto hospitals already stretched thin, patients pay the price. Doug Ford is accelerating the privatization of our health care by diverting billions to for-profit clinics. Funding private clinics diverts money from already stressed public hospitals. He’s paying private clinics more than double what hospitals get for the same surgeries—less value for every public dollar. Funding to for-profit clinics increased over 200% while public hospitals faced real cuts. He’s moving 50% of surgeries to private facilities. In eight years under Doug Ford, access to health care has become worse. Not better. And here’s what’s most important: Universal public health care is a Canadian value we cannot afford to lose. This past year reminded us what makes us Canadian—and what’s worth fighting for. The NDP brought public health care to this country and I will always fight to protect it. #WATCH | Hisar: The Haryana unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has written to the state government regarding the withdrawal of services by Ayushman empanelled hospitals from August 7, 2025, due to non-payment of dues. Former Haryana IMA President Dr Ajay Mahajan says, " For the last two years, we have been repeatedly facing the problem that our payments get stopped. Due to this, the hospitals also lack the financial resources to make their payments. The hospitals have to make immediate payments to their doctors, their staff, their vendors, but the government is making these payments after three months, four months, six months and even then, it makes unwanted deductions. Due to this, a huge financial burden has fallen on the hospitals. Due to this, the hospitals have decided to request the government to pay all the dues till 15th July by 7th August, otherwise we will not be able to provide further services... Now, after giving our notice, the government says that we have sanctioned Rs 310 crores, but that sanctioning and getting the money will take time. We have about 650 to 700 hospitals, which are private sector hospitals, that were providing their services to the government under Ayushman Bharat. Now, because the debt burden on them has increased, they are unable to provide their services further. We have requested the government that all the payments till 15th July should be made by the 7th so that the hospital can run smoothly..."

Is Econet going out of its way to keep competition out of Zimbabwe so that it can enjoy super normal profits? Ranga Makwata is very emphatic, if MTN or any other international company was in Zim they would’ve left the country a long time ago. Many international investors and brands have left the country because of the unsustainable operating environment, the banking sector being one such market. (Telecel lost its international partner and GOZ claimed it could run it) If Starlink comes to Zimbabwe, it will leave on its own, given the ZWL tariffs and price controls. Econet has just had a rights issue to pay off its USD debt. Shareholders had to shore up money despite US$1bn that Econet have invested in the country and didn’t get a return. What is incredibly sad is that on life and death matters, Zimbabweans can choose to either use public or private hospitals. Private health care has full discretion on pricing but ICT doesn’t argues Rufaro . How crazy is that? GOZ owns Netone, Telecel, Telone which if data was a public good for the least and most vulnerable of our society then GOZ entities should happily subsidize the citizens. It’s time for legislation that ensures patients can consult with the doctors they trust, regardless of hospital "privileges." As long as a physician's license is in good standing, their expertise should be available to you when you need it most. What do you think? Last night, we admitted my grandmother to the Emergency Department at the Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills campus, as her condition is critical. What Elon Musk says here is wrong. The limiting factor for an economy to turn labor into goods is the strength of the promise known as private property. By offering a credible promise that the fruits of their labor will not be stolen, strong private property incentivizes people to be productive. Printing money steals the fruits of peoples’ labor, thereby weakening the promise of private property. As private property is weakened through money printing, people are more incentivized to steal rather than produce. After all, if the promise of legal ownership is being broken, then why work at all when you can instead get in on the take (through bailouts, subsidies, welfare, etc)? When the promise of private property is strong, capital is accumulated rather than consumed, thereby intensifying productivity. #Bitcoin is money that is extremely difficult to steal and impossible to print. Therefore, Bitcoin is the perfection of private property and an intensification of the productive output of people worldwide.

For years now, some hospitals and healthcare providers have been subjecting children to horrific, experimental treatments in service of radical gender ideologies. Today, thanks to the Wolves in White Coats report released by HHS, we know why: profit. It turns out that convincing vulnerable children to reject their gender can create patients for life, earning hospitals tens of thousands of dollars in additional revenue per child. The report contains deeply disturbing allegations, and I encourage every American and every parent, to read it. More than just pushing these procedures on kids, hospitals and providers may have been defrauding Medicaid and private insurers by using misleading or fraudulent billing codes to get insurance to cover the costs.

When will Karen’s learn that anyone has a right to film in public? Regardless if you like it or not. You do not have to give your permission. I often wonder how many of these Karen’s have dash cams on their cars. Or cameras on their homes. How do they not understand if those are legal then so is filming from the sidewalk as long as you don’t step onto private party? Know your rights.
