Autonomous Region of Kurdistan - Slemani 2 drones were intercepted over the sky of Slemani governorate. 1 drone has been intercepted and crash landed around Tasluja, the other drone was intercepted at the vicinity of the military of the 70th unit of the Peshmerga. Thankfully no one was wounded or killed. This event follows a series of attacks against the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan and Kurdish provinces in Iraq. As of now, there is no official announcement about who the perpetrators were - it is however clear that these were Iranian made drones, heavily in use by the Hashd Al Shaabi (PMF) in Iraq. From previous attacks and given that the Turkmen factions within Iraq have staged large scale protests against the appointment of a Kurdish mayor for a Kurdish area (Pirde) - it is natural to assume that the faction which carried out this attack is a Turkmen faction of the Hashd al Shaabi; these factions have carried out drone attacks against Kurdistans energy infrastructure, especially in the PUK areas, before.
