🚨A serious railway safety concern that needs attention. When an ACP (Alarm Chain Pulling) occurs, a Train Manager may have to reach the affected coach to address the situation. But where there is no safe pedestrian path on the bridge, they may be forced to pass underneath the train,...

@aigc_centre Railway employees’ safety is just as important as passengers’ safety. Safe access routes should be provided at such locations so that no employee has to risk their life while doing their duty.

@aigc_centre I don't think chain pulling is necessary. Instead they can give an alarm button or switch, so that it alerts loco pilots or guard. Stopping train is really bad idea

@aigc_centre You are public servant and its your duty to do it. Chain pulling is an facility provided by railways to public so that whenever they want or feel emergency they can do it. You cannot say when to do and when not to do. Just do your duty.

🚨 Woman Harassed on a Moving Train: Serious Questions About RailMadad’s Emergency Response On August 30, a woman was travelling on the 8:30 PM Vanchinad Express from Thiruvalla towards Ernakulam South. When the train reached Kottayam, a man who appeared to be heavily intoxicated and not fully in his senses boarded the train. After noticing the woman, he deliberately came and sat close to her. He then began leaning towards her, making her uncomfortable. She moved away and changed her seat to maintain some distance from him. However, the man followed her and repeatedly attempted to touch and hold her leg. He tried to do this two or three times. When he attempted it for the third time, the incident was recorded on video and his hand was stopped. An emergency complaint was immediately raised through the RailMadad app. However, the response was that there were reportedly no railway staff, police officers, or RPF personnel available between Kottayam and Ernakulam Junction, making immediate intervention difficult. She was informed that assistance could be sent from Ernakulam South if required. Afterwards, the man got down at Mulanturutty station, where he continued to harass and intimidate the woman before eventually leaving the station. The bigger concern: What happens when an emergency occurs inside a moving train? If a passenger especially a woman is being harassed or feels unsafe inside a moving train, assistance should be available while the train is in transit, not only after it reaches a particular station. If a passenger uses RailMadad to report an emergency, the expectation is that the complaint will trigger a prompt and effective response. Being told that no railway, police, or RPF personnel are available between two stations raises serious concerns about passenger safety. Railway authorities should urgently review this system and ensure that genuine emergency complaints made through RailMadad receive timely assistance, including appropriate intervention by railway security personnel at the earliest possible opportunity. Passenger safety must not depend on how far the train is from the next station. Women and all passengers deserve to feel safe and protected throughout their journey.

“I’m a Railway Employee Do Whatever You Want!”: Arrogant Smoker Flouts Train Rules, Endangers Passengers A man was seen smoking a cigarette inside a train, which is clearly a violation of railway rules and basic public safety. When a co-passenger politely questioned him and asked him not to smoke, the man responded in an arrogant and threatening manner, saying, “I am a railway employee do whatever you want.”This kind of attitude is deeply disturbing. Just because someone claims to be a railway employee does not give them the right to break the law or endanger the health and safety of other passengers. Smoking inside a train is not only illegal but also harmful, especially to children, elderly passengers, and those with respiratory problems who are forced to inhale the smoke. If anything, a railway employee should be an example of discipline and responsibility, not someone who misuses their position to intimidate others. Such behaviour reflects a complete lack of civic sense and respect for fellow passengers. Public transport belongs to everyone, and no individual employee or not is above the rules.Authorities must take strict action against such misconduct and send a clear message that arrogance and abuse of power will not be tolerated. Rules exist for a reason, and respecting them is the minimum expected from anyone travelling on public transport. #bangalore #bengaluru #railway #IndianRailways #smoking Ministry of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw South Western Railway Karnataka State Police S. #WATCH | Madhya Pradesh | Fire breaks out in B-1 coach (near SLR end) of Train No. 12431 Thiruvananthapuram–Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express between Luni Richha (LNR) and Vikramgarh Alot (VMA) stations. All passengers of the affected coach were safely deboarded and no injury or casualty to any passenger or railway staff was reported. From Delay to Crackdown: Lathi Charge and Phone Snatching Spark Outrage at bidadi railway station The Ashokapuram MEMU train was delayed for about an hour and a half, causing great inconvenience to passengers. The train was halted midway due to a technical glitch, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded and unable to reach their destinations on time. Frustrated by the delay, passengers staged a protest against the railway authorities at Bidadi Railway Station. Some protesters came down onto the tracks and shouted slogans, demanding an immediate alternative train. “It is unbearable that the train has not moved for one and a half hours. Students, employees, and women are in distress,” the passengers said. Railway officials stated that the train had been stopped due to a track issue and assured passengers that the problem would be resolved within half an hour, after which services would resume. During this time, a heated argument broke out between the passengers and the officials. As the situation escalated, a scuffle reportedly broke out between the police and the passengers. The Bidadi police arrived at the scene and carried out a mild lathi charge to disperse the protesters who had gathered on the tracks. In a video of the incident, police personnel were also seen allegedly trying to snatch a mobile phone from a passenger who was recording the events #bangalore #bengaluru #bidadi #railway RPF INDIA South Western Railway Karnataka State Police S. Muslim woman was forcibly made to get off the train at Jhansi station by a TTE at 3 AM. Mohammad Nadir (Mohd Nadir 🌾)'s mother, Hasma Begum, was traveling on May 15, 2026, from Lucknow to Mumbai by Pushpak Express (12533). She was traveling in the S1 coach with an acquaintance from her village. The person traveling with Hasma Begum had a valid ticket, but for some reason, Hasma Begum allegedly did not have a ticket. In such a situation, according to railway rules, the TTE could have issued a ticket by collecting a fine or taken legal action. However, it is alleged that instead of taking action as per the rules, the TTE forcibly pushed Hasma Begum off the train at Jhansi station at around 3 a.m. At that time, she was completely alone at the station and had no means to contact her family. After about three hours, she was able to contact her family with the help of another person, due to which the family remained extremely worried and frightened. Forcibly making a female passenger get down from the train at night in this manner raises serious questions regarding her safety. If there was a ticket-related issue, it could have been resolved under the established rules of the railway. After this incident, her son filed a complaint with the railway administration. However, it is alleged that the railway administration did not take any concrete action against the concerned TTE and the matter was closed after speaking to the complainant over the phone.
