@MartinSLewis It's a trick question. It's neither as they are Hawaiian pizza their horrible and both would go straight in the bin

@MartinSLewis Pi r squared gives the area of the circles. The 15” pizza has a larger surface area than the two 10” pizzas combined. Mathematically that’s the best bet. However, practically if you can eat one 10” pizza (approx calories 950) and save the other for another meal, you’re better off

@MartinSLewis Pizza is 15”, so radius is 7.5”, so area is 176.6”? The other pizzas are 10”, radius 5”, so area is 78.5” each. Making overall area of both pizzas 157”. I think/had to Google formula 😂

@MathsDeptWA @MartinSLewis This can be done mentally, without even using π, because the area is directly proportional to 𝑟². To avoid decimals, you can even square the diameters instead, as again they are directly proportional. 15² = 225 but 2 × 10² is only 200. So the 15” pizza is a better deal.

@MartinSLewis The 2 X 10" pizzas are better value, as the £10 pizza has 63.5732% less toppings when calculating the area of the toppings against the 2 pizzas. However the cost of Autocad to calculate this means I can't eat for the rest of the month....

@MartinSLewis I’d be less mathematical- 2x10 inch because you could freeze/keep one (Assuming it’s uncooked/supermarket) potentially less waste than not eating all of 1 15 inch!

@MartinSLewis If I remember correctly, I left school in 83 :) Assuming they are perfect circles. Area of a circle I think is pi x r squared. For the 15" -> 3.14 X 7.5 square = 176 For a 10" -> 3.14 X 5 square = 78. There are 2 of 10" pizza -> 78 X 2 = 156 I still think 2x15" is the best
