People just spout shit. DS and JJK have a simple plot, 100%. They also have very in depth characters. Like em or not. I mean shit, look at sports anime. 99% is "ima be the best at x sport" and the char writing in them obliterates most other genre's.

True asf + one more thing people don't understand OP Naruto and these older battle shonen anime had 500+ chapters Their authors had ample amount of time to carve the characters and build a well-refined narrative. If we put the no. of chapters into consideration, DS, JJK are great
