Create the character and animations with skill-blender-character.” Codex built the world, created the low-poly character in Blender, generated the outfit and integrated the animations into the game. One prompt, one custom skill, one playable prototype.

The character pipeline is moving forward: animations are now working. I lost some time because Codex occasionally switched GPT-5.6 Sol back to Light/Medium by default, and the difference in task execution was immediately noticeable. After switching back to GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra, progress was much smoother. Using animations from Mixamo, the character can now idle, walk, run and jump. Next: shoes, skin variations and different body types. Then I need to decide what this project should become: • A character generator website? • A reusable Codex skill? • An open-source GitHub repo? What would be the most useful?

They're solving completely different problems, but both are great examples of how capable today's models have become. The pace of progress is remarkable.

Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 built the same scroll-animated website from one skill in 32 minutes. Only one of them made it feel like a film. Same prompt. Boutique Japan travel brand, origami style. A subway pulls in, a paper house unfolds into a hotel, a bird takes flight as you scroll. Doing this by hand is brutal, so the skill handles everything automatically. Here is how it works: → One anchor image sets the visual style and every scene that follows inherits it automatically → Higgsfield generates the video straight from the terminal through the MCP connection, no manual exporting → FFmpeg rips every frame out of the generated video automatically → Each frame then gets mapped to a scroll position so your scrollbar literally becomes the playhead The verdict came down to transitions. GPT-5.6 built strong individual scenes with incredible detail inside each one, but then hard-cut between them with no connection. Fable 5 stitched everything together. Wires push out of the top of the frame while the next scene blurs in behind it, gains depth and locks into place seamlessly. Same skill, same prompts, 10 generations each from both models. The skill does all of it: Generate 1 anchor image and approve it every scene inherits the style Turn it into video through the Higgs Field MCP (Seedance), straight from the terminal FFmpeg pulls every frame Each frame maps to scroll position, so your scrollbar becomes the playhead Setup is just connecting the MCP and loading the skill works in Claude Code and Codex. It interviews you first about scenes, budget and mobile, then shows the anchor image before burning a single credit on video. Budget reality: 6 scenes runs ~800 credits and is overkill, 4 scenes is the sweet spot, crop-safe mobile is the cheap path. The verdict came down to transitions. GPT-5.6 Soul built strong scenes with incredible detail inside each one then hard cuts between scene 1 and 2, and again between 2 and 3. Someone vibe coded a fully interactive 3D human anatomy app using GPT-5.6 Sol and Codex, and it started from a single design image. GPT Image 2.0 generated the design. Every organ image was generated from it and converted to 3D models through Tripo AI. Codex took those models, a master prompt and the design image and built the first version. The models were nearly 150MB each and running at 16fps, so Codex optimized everything down to 2 to 5.5MB per model and reduced total assets from 900MB to 28.6MB while keeping the visual quality intact. Codex also generated the anatomical illustrations showing where each organ sits, and created the interactive hotspot markers explaining different parts of every organ. Live and fully open source.
