In no way, shape, or form did this Orthodox gentleman explain the gospel of Jesus Christ. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me HAS eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24) Jesus cleanses us of all our sins and brings us from death into eternal life through his death and resurrection, not because we deserve it, but because of the great love with which he loved us.
