Blankets, blankets, blankets! Thanks to your incredible support, the Sameer Project bought 1,000 blankets last week for around $36,365 with 11% commission (for our fiscal hosts). Donate now: The Sameer Project received the blanket and immediately set off to distribute as winter started in Gaza, as temperatures at night are reaching 11 degrees Celsius/ 52 Fahrenheit. The first camp we distributed in is Safaa Camp that is right next to hills of garbage and is extremely underserved. 237 blankets were distributed for 231 families in the Safaa Camp in Deir El Balah. Each blanket weighs around 3 kilograms / 6.60 pounds. Large families with more than 10 people get two blankets while the rest get one blanket. We will distribute the rest of the blankets to more camps over the next couple of days. He said Europe cannot allow China to have one set of rules while European companies operate under a completely different set of rules. That is the punchline. For years, Europe has restricted or excluded Chinese companies under the language of “security.” Huawei. ZTE. Chinese telecom firms. Chinese solar products. Chinese EVs. Chinese batteries. Chinese infrastructure. Whenever Chinese companies become too competitive, Europe suddenly discovers “risk,” “dependency,” “distortion,” or “strategic vulnerability.” But when China responds with its own controls, tariffs, rare earth restrictions, or market measures, Europe starts crying about fairness. Classic. China has not banned European industrial giants from the Chinese market the way Europe has tried to politically suffocate Chinese companies. Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, Airbus, Siemens, BASF, Schneider, LVMH, and countless European firms have made fortunes in China for decades. China opened its market, built supply chains, created demand, and let European companies profit massively. Europe took the money. Then it blocked Chinese firms, joined U.S. containment, restricted high-end exports, attacked Chinese clean-tech industries, and now complains that China enjoys unfair access. If Europe really wants “one set of rules,” it should be careful what it asks for. Because China can play that game too. 🇺🇸In the USA, a million people are homeless, and turning to alcohol and drugs to cope. While millions of homes are empty in the USA. 🇨🇳In China, there is next to no homelessness, and illegal drug use is nearly non-existent. China literally builds homes for its poorest people. These are homes for Nomadic families in Xizang, China. The homes in Chacuo Village were funded by the Chinese gov as part of its targeted poverty alleviation. Funding covered homes, electricity, sanitation, roads, and even community services, and free vocational training to help them develop the skills to help themselves. I am NOT saying love China and hate the USA. I am saying that our governent, in the United States of America, can do better. We have more money per capita than China. If China can take care of its poorest people, so can we. We have a moral obligation to our fellow citizens. China does it. We can too. So, let's do it! Who's with me?
