How a female student league activist attacked by BNP’s student front leaders in exam hall - Police and army obliged attackers and attacked student unlawfully detained Like other students in her batch, Piya also went to attend academic exam in Rajshahi Mohila college. But only for her affiliation with student league, a group of activists from BNP’s student front entered the exam hall. In show of surrender to BNP’s student wing leaders, teachers allowed the cadres a free reign as they barred the student from giving exam, followed by assault. If this is not fascism then what is it? Woman assaulted and violated for opposing destruction of Dhanmondi 32 residence: No fundamental rights for dissenters In broad daylight, guarded by cops, hundreds of violent cadres backed by Yunus who took part in vandalism and demolition of Dhanmondi 32 residence swopped on, assaulted and manhandled a woman as she chanted Joy Bangla sloglan and described Shiekh Hasina as sister while exercising her freedom of speech against this carnage of the center of country’s independence in broad daylight. Though these activists call themselves anti fascists, these cadres also beaten up another citizen in a similar manner vowing to kill him. No law enforcement came to rescue both the citizen from these unlawful attacks rather indemnified by cops, a further sign that fundamental rights of Yunus’s dissenters have been totally eroded while Yunus loyalists, war criminal backed party Jamaat alongside Islamists are enjoying total indemnity to demolish structures and attack citizens. In 1971, chanting Joy Bangla slogan was considered as punishable offence by Pakistan army and their local collaborators from Jamaat e Islami , and five decades down the line, in a similar manner Jamaat activists are attacking people for chanting this slogan that denotes victory of Bengal over anti liberation forces . UN Human Rights Body Became Democrats Tool for Regime Change - UNHRC Commissioner Volker Türk’s Admission ---- UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, openly admitted that he personally warned (or rather, threatened) the Bangladesh Military—with UN peacekeeping mission—not to assist the government in handling the chaos and violence in July. In his own words, "he warned them not to get involved with the situation.” This interference came at a critical moment when the government imposed a curfew on July 18 to restore law and order. As a result, the civil administration was left to tackle the mayhem, riot, chaos and instability all alone, without military support. The primary responsibility of any armed force is to assist the government in maintaining peace and stability when the situation spirals out of control. Yet, Türk’s warning actively discouraged that duty. It is also important to note that most of the casualties occurred between July 19 and July 24.
