Do you mind making the captions just a bit smaller?

refreshing to see a launch video that stands on the merits of the product rather than just the merits of a viral video agency

Have to say I was shocked when I saw the results from my @midjourney full body scan.

My company was building a similar Heart ultrasound system using robotic arms and repositionable arrays instead of a fixed ring of thousands of transducers. This approach faces real limits in practice. The data volume is massive and reconstruction is computationally heavy. More importantly, attenuation forces lower frequencies for any meaningful penetration, which destroys resolution. Bone, lung air, bowels, and other interfaces make it even worse in heterogeneous tissue. The polished labeled 3D images in their press demo looked like CT renders, not ultrasound. It will be telling to see how this actually performs on real patients instead of controlled demos.

there are definitely pros and cons to this approach but the images we showed are from the actual initial prototype and we feel there's still a lot of headroom to make it much better

I am not seeing pictures of real hardware here, and I’m not seeing a technical paper, and I’m not seeing something like data from an actual scan being made available online. I’m not going to say that I know that this isn’t real. I am going to say that you have to present more evidence for me to know that it is real.

@midjourney @josh_suhr Their launch video shows their actual hardware.

@perrymetzger @midjourney respectfully they have said that their work and images are from sims not real life. you can cheat sims and make them look better. im rooting for them but these are physics challenges and not typical software ones

Did not have 'MidJourney creates MRI-killer' on my Bingo card. Awesome! 🤯

I was nearly halfway into the video before I realised the strip of speckles at the bottom of the screen was supposed to be subtitles explaining what is going on.

I saw this and I knew the founder had to be insane, went and read as much as I can about him , interestingly he did a project based on location through sounds and 3d and talked about it here Also interestingly none of the videos have more than 1k views, I have a feeling that’ll change very quickly

People prefer listening over reading. I recorded my own voice-over for the Midjourney Scanner video because the subtitles are too small. Enjoy ☺️

This is awesome! Easy with the resolution claims though, it's physically impossible to image anything below atomic level with sound regardless of what the theoretical number is. Resolving molecules is utterly world-transforming if you can actually do it. "MRI scanner but fast and cheap" is way less than that and still amazing.
